Rachel's P.O.V

My name is Rachel. Just Rachel, I don't my last name because I never met my parents. I'm twenty five . A few things you might need to know is that I am not normal. Sure there is no true definition to the word but I am weirder than the average person. Because I was a orphan I was taken into a home that was all about being a warrior. I mean like wonder woman, were all we did was train all day,  we ate and slept like a warrior. The only difference between wonder woman's home and mine is that we had men living with us. Then you have the fact that I'm part... something. I don't know what the other part of me is but I have weirder powers than an exorcist but I  have my innocents too .  One more thing I'm a runner. Not a athlete kind of runner , more like I run from my past.  That's what I am doing now, running, I should tell you why...

Five hours ago...

Lavi, Kanda, My best friend Melody and I are doing chores for the head master in the market. So far we got ten items off the list we were given.  Its hard too stay on task when Lavi picks on Kanda making everyone laugh. Plus its even harder when your in love with the one guy that you should not fall for. I always catch myself watching him, with that grumpy face. "Stop ogling, we need to stay on task.", Melody whispers to me with a grin. I look away with a blush on my face.   Melody knew before I did that I loved Kanda and is always trying to get me to talk to him about it, but I mean come on why would he share my feelings?

With a huff I walk towards the meat vendor only to stop seeing a vendor full of beautiful knives and swords. I love sharp objects, you can catch in almost any weapon store. "Come on you idiot, you can stare after the shopping is done", Kanda growls at me. Of course I'm the mature one and stick my tongue at him and kick his shin and follow the others.

Finally two hours of shopping we get everything from the list and start heading home.  Stupidly I trip over a rock, running into Kanda's back. Kanda is yelling at me for being clumsy but I of course am ignoring him and go to pick up the fallen groceries. For some reason I feel eyes staring at me ,so I look only to see my worst nightmare possible. My panic rises when he smirks at me then looks at my confused friends faces. "Rach, what's wrong?", Melody asks. "Hey! Rachel are you ok?", Lavi asks. "Hey idiot are you paying attention?" Kanda yells, but I'm not paying attention, my body is shaking as I feel the bile coming up my throat. Then I start to run even as hear my friends behind me but they cant keep up, the only on who can I Kanda. That's exactly what happens to, we get toward the edge of the village when he grabs me, turning me around.  "What the hell is going on! Tell us", He yells angrily. "I'm sorry", I whisper, making him give me a look of confusion then pain when I knee him in the groin, then hit him in the head with my elbow, knocking him out.  Then I run and don't stop.

Present.

Now five years later I am in an ally scared as hell, because his goons found me and are currently beating the shit out of me. One guy stabs me for the seventh time, that's when I lose my vision, I hear a shout and then I pass out.
