"Bag, check! Shoes, check! My life, check!" I looked around to see if I was missing anything.
"Well, everything seems to be in order Jennifer" I told myself as I looked into the mirror.
"You can do it, you will go out there, socialize and make friends!" I stared at my reflection and noticed the changes in my appearance.
I was no longer that girl who always wore a pony tail, my hair was now untied and flowing freely.
My features sharpened as well, maybe that's due to the fact that I would punch the punching bag to let my anger out every...single... day for the past two years.
I ran down the stairs, my bag on my back.
"Bye mom, bye dad!" I yelled to them as I grabbed my car keys from the counter top.
As I sat in my car, I was about to wear my blue hoodie, but then thought better of it.
'No more shying away' I thought to myself and instead of wearing it, I tied the hoodie around my waist.I put my car key into the ignition and grinned as the engine revved.
I pulled out of the drive way and drove to Cradle Academy.

"shit!" I exclaimed as soon as I arrived. I was going to be so late! I slammed the door of my car in a hurry and locked it using my car keys.I ran as fast as I could to the entrance of the building that stood facing me.
I was running so fast that I didn't notice I had tripped.
"Ow..." I groaned as my head hit the floor. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" a deep voice asked, sounding concerned.
"Yeah... I'm fine" I muttered, trying do grin but it just ended up as a grimace.
"Here, I'll help you up" he said and offered his hand. I took it gratefully and stood up.
Once I got a better look at him, I gasped. "Dylan?! Wow... this is a surprise" I exclaimed.
He had really grown from the last time I saw him. His dark hair was messy as usual, I think he grew about 5 inches and...is that the beginning of a moustache? I must have said that last part out loud because he blushed and ducked his head, embarrassed.
There was a comfortable silence between us, the silence of old friends. "So, uh, what brings you here?" I asked him, feeling rather awkward.
"I study here now" He said. I mentally facepalmed. I am such an idiot to not have thought of that! "That's great!" I told him, unsure of what else to say.
I glanced at my phone "shit" I said for about the second time today. "Why? Is something wrong?" he asked me. "I'm going to be late for class" I told him.
"What's your first period?"
"Uhmmm... Homeroom" I said. "what's the section and number of your classroom?""Section A number 7" I told him. "Really? That's where my homeroom period is too!" he exclaimed.
I smiled at him, then glanced down at my watch. "I'll see you there I guess" I said uncertainly. "We are going there together" he told me, intertwined my hand with his and started walking.
I am so glad that he walked fast because then he won't be able to see the blush on my face.
