Sayaka and Madoka walked home from school, talking about the days events. Madoka was planning on going home, and Sayaka told Madoka of her plans to visit the post-crippled Kyosuke in the hospital with the intentions of listening to him perform. "He's wonderful, Madoka-Chan. I'd sell my soul a thousand times to hear him play his violin." She admired to Madoka who

held her bag in her small pale hands and watched the sidewalk intently as she listened to Sayaka. She cleared her throat and piped up. "I'm glad he's better." She commented as she shifted her bags weight to her left arm for a moment, clutching its tan leather strap in her hand. She and Sayaka had already became Mahou Shoujo's, together. Madoka had wished for a cake, and Sayaka had wished for the handicaps of the boy she admired, Kyosuke, to be alleviated fully, which they were. Madoka and Sayaka were both much obliged to take on this responsibility- especially Madoka, who felt useless, but good now that she could protect her friends. She was more confident now. "Sayaka-Chan," she whispered suddenly, interrupting Sayaka's rendition of Kyosuke and hers day the day before, holding her hand in the air. "There's a witch here." She claimed, sensing an evil presence nearby, as if the witch's ethereal hands were touching Madoka's body. She'd been well trained by the veteran Mahou Shoujo, Mami Tomoe. She knew. She looked at Sayaka who nodded at her as well, as Madoka began to open up the labyrinth. "It's time," Madoka said after successfully succumbing to the labyrinth's distorted world, holding her radiant pink soul gem in her pale hand as it she was enveloped in a shroud if pink, her Mitakihara High uniform disappearing from her form, replaced by a lacy pink dress which was adorned with multiple pink ribbons and silky white gloves, and her feet were now covered with red shoes that were finished with large red ribbons. She tossed her head back and ribbons dressed her pigtails. She now held a glorious bow, and to her side, Sayaka-Chan had finished her transformation too. They stood side by side, the pink and blue Mahou Shoujo's that together had the abilities of archery and swordsmanship. Many familiars flittered around the sky, making obnoxiously innocuous childlike giggles as they dissipated from one side of the labyrinth to the other, as Sayaka quickly began piercing them out of the sky, pulling rapiers from underneath her white cape as music notes swarmed around her. Madoka, meanwhile, searched for the witch. In any case, she was more than elated to fight alongside Sayaka, who she was best friends with. "I found her!" Madoka called to Sayaka, pointing her small pale finger at the witch who was lumbering around with great strength below them. The witch was of gargantuan size, and was probably a chubby magical girl before her transformation. But she was most likely beautiful, Madoka had decided, because she had copious amounts of luscious, elegant hair. Sayaka peeked down off of the candy covered cliff they stood on, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, Madoka-San, good eye! Hey, how do we go about killing 'er?" She said thoughtfully in her inelegant boyish way of speaking. Madoka held her hand to her chin and thought about their plan of action. "You go in, and I'll shoot her from far off, and we'll defeat her hopefully." Sayaka had no objections to that idea, as she have a vague nod of her head and jumped down with her broadsword barred, plummeting down onto the witch. The witch who had been cut through her abdomen cried out in an animalistic shriek, shaking Sayaka off of her, although the glittering silver sword remained inside her hollow stomach, and from the hole in the witch's belly, assorted candy fell out. This magical girl must've really enjoyed candy, as it was an attribute of the now vicious witch. Spoils of candy of all types spewed from the witch's stomach which had been gutted, and all of it seemed high-quality. Candy corn, glittery gum balls, lollypops of different swirls of lustrous and shapes, as it all fell onto Sayaka, as if drowning her in the infinite amount of sweets. "Sayaka-Chan!" Madoka called out, searching through the seething piles of candy for her friend. Sayaka jumped up from the sugary ocean, slashing blindly and wildly at the witch, ravaging the foul witch with cuts just as she was turning her foul intentions towards Madoka. "Don't you dare touch Madoka-Chan!" Sayaka screamed as she impaled her a final time with a royal looking rapier, jumping into the air as her cape created an avalanche of white behind her. Madoka watched incredulously at the scene, as her mellifluous friendy who she'd known to be cherubic since childhood barbarously attacked the witch. She took her job as a Puella Magi very seriously. Madoka was so caught in awe, that she didn't hear Sayaka's yelling. Suddenly, her brooding numbness was gone, and she was back to Earth. "Finish her Madoka!" Sayaka was screaming as she tried to wade through the waterfalls of decadent candy. Madoka nodded, and knew Sayaka was right. "Okay!" She called back in a promising tone, taking aim at the witch, whom she deeply felt sorry for. "You," she whispered in a hushed tone as if a final prayer for the witch who was once a Mahou Shoujo just like Sayaka and Madoka, "will be missed." With that, her string was now holding a magnificent mauve arrow that lit up the whole room with the color of pink. She released it, and as the witch screamed and convuled as the arrow approached, just like a speeding bullet, it ran her through with a mixture of toxic darkness and beautiful light, and she exploded. Just like that, she was nothing but a memory. Madoka stood proudly in the waist deep candy, helping Sayaka up immediately. "Good job, Sayaka-Chan!" She exclaimed, hugging her tightly. Sayaka was giggling with satisfaction and happiness that she had helped Madoka in the fight, and they both had won. "We did it!" They both repeated giddily, as they clung to each other in rejoice. Something fell in between them, breaking up their excitement. A grief seed. "Hey," Madoka said, holding it gingerly in her index and thumb, "you take it, Sayaka-Chan. You earned it, really!" She said, as she handed it to Sayaka who frowned momentarily. "But Madoka, what about-" Sayaka began, as Madoka chimed in abruptly. "Don't worry about me Sayaka-Chan. This is your victory. We'll battle plenty more together. I can wait until-" but Sayaka was crying as she hugged Madoka like a toddler to a beloved childhood blanket. "Madoka-Chan, thank you..." She whispered. Madoka pat her childhood friend in a nurturing manner. "Don't mention it, Sayaka-Chan."
