I remember the way your breath felt,
With your lips against my neck.
I remember the way you liked to lay,
Your legs over mine, one hand on my back.
I remember the way you would smile at me,
Even if my jokes weren't funny.
I remember the way you made me feel,
Full of warmth and hope.
I remember how you'd yell at me,
For no reason at all.
I remember how you cut me off,
How I became a shell of myself.
I remember how you swung at me,
And I never knew why.
I remember when I made you leave,
How you said I tore us down.
I remember all the good times,
I remember the bad times too.
I remember when we fell apart,
Now I'm all I'll ever have.
