Fight In The Snow

As I run my paws hit the ground with loud thuds my pack was just slaughtered my father and mother were both killed by a pack that came when they were asleep . Then my sister met up with one of the wolves and was forced to be his mate . Now me and my sister are running as fast as we can trying to out run the wolves who killed our parents we were almost to the border when all of a sudden on of the wolves came up and grabbed my sister and held her up to a tree. Quickly I ran up behind him and bit him on the leg he holed with pain then ran away. When I went to go help her she was bloody and he bit her so hard in one spot that there was no fur it was just bare skin. When she got up she could walk but not run. We walk for a while the we saw a old abandoned den it was mossy and had mold and weeds on the outside of it . We went inside you cold tell that someone had lived here there were hole dug out for a bed. The next day it was raining so me and Emily had to wait to hunt my sister was tired and went to sleep. While she was sleeping I noticed a gray female wolf she saw me then fell over. Quickly I ran over to her you could tell that she had not been fed I a while you could see he ribs a spine. Then all of a sudden she jumped up and bit me and held me to the ground . I bit her on the tail she whimpered with pain then bit me on my shoulder I knew I couldn't let go of her tail. Then she let go and ran into the den I fell to the ground I couldn't get up. Finally, I got up then walked over to her as she laid there weeping. I then nudged her gently, she slowly moved and lifted her head and then laid back down.

After a while of lying on the ground the wolf got up. I invited her into the den, my sister and I watch as the wolf laid there in the floor. When she got up she was in fright, she thought that we were going to hurt her.

"We won't hurt you," I said.

But she stood frightened in the corner. I then asked, "who are you?"

"My name is Amber, and my fathers name is Carson.. He's the leader of the pack." she said quietly.

She proceeded to tell us that he was killed one night by another wolf from another pack while he was sleeping.

I felt bad for her after hearing the story and asked her if she would like to live with us.

She said, "since it's getting late I will stay the night instead of walking back to the den.."

The next day I wake up to find that Amber was gone. I searched everywhere for her.

"She must have went home during the night," I said to my sister.

"I really did like her, she would have been a good friend.." She replied.

Months pass, and leaves began to fall and it was getting cold at night fall. One morning, I woke up and it was snowing, my fur was cold and covered in snow and ice. My sister found a mate and was soon expecting cubs. As I was walking I saw a gray shape in the snow. As I got closer I saw who it was.. Amber must had gotten lost and got too cold and passed away.

My sister and I woke up the next morning and had to find something to eat. We walked for awhile and then saw an elk in the snowy fields. We quickly charged at the elk and it ran as fast as it could but we finally caught it. After we ate all that we could eat we went back to the den. My sister went to lie down and nap from exhaustion. I decided to go outside for some fresh air. When I got back, there lay next to Emily six little pups and then came one more. She was happy and tired , but I was really happy for her. That night one of the cubs got under Emily and smothered and had died. Still we had six pups to teach how to hunt and to take care of.

Day by day the pups started growing like mad. The father never came back he went out for food one night and never returned. Then the day came when we had to teach them how to hunt me and Emily didn't want to but we had to. We all walked for a while then we saw a elk we told all the pups to settle down. Then all of a sudden the elk ran so all of the pups ran after it it got away but me and Emily taught then everthing they need to know about how to hunt.
