Hope's PoV~

"What's the condition?" I said giving Ethan a small smirk.

"I get to ta-" Ethan started to say something when he got cut off by the sound of my phone ringing. I walk over to my pile of clothes and pick up my phone.

"Hope where the hell are you? You were supposed to be home for a family dinner half an hour ago!" My father shouts down the phone at me. I totally forgot about the family dinner. Aunt Rebekah is supposed to be visiting and I've missed her so much.

"I'm so sorry dad I'll be home soon!" I say and then hang up so he can't shout at me for be irresponsible.

I quickly put my clothes on and turn back to Ethan.

"I'm so sorry I have to go because..." I was once again cut off by Ethan.

"Of a family dinner, I know I heard." Ethan said with a smile because he knows that I hate it when he reads my thoughts or listens to my conversations.

"Okay well I'll see you around then." I said giving him a hug and walking away into the woods. I decided I can't be bothered to walk so I whoosh though the air and I'm back on the balcony of my room in seconds.

Ethan's PoV~

I watch as she walks away and I turn around to walk back to the pond. All of a sudden I hear a whoosh and see Hope nowhere to be seen. We both want what each other have. I am able to block my thoughts because I'm able to shift fully and she has all the advantages that a vampire has. Only she will be able to block her thoughts soon since her 16th birthday is coming up. And I will probably never become a hybrid.

I already knew everything about her and her family because all supernaturals gossip every once and awhile. I know that her father is Klaus and everyone seems to be scared of him, but I don't feel like I am. It's probably because I haven't met him yet. One things for sure I'll meet him soon.

Hope's PoV~

As soon as I got downstairs everyone was sat in the dining room so I causally sat down next to Elijah. The room goes silently.

"Glad you could join us Hope." My dad said sarcastically with a small frown. "And why's your hair wet?" He asked whilst placing his elbows on the table and giving me a stern look.

"She was with the sons of Lisa, Klaus we've already been over this! She's safe with them." My mum said sticking up for me.

"You didn't answer my question! Why is your hair wet!?" He started to raise his voice at me.

"Nicklaus!" My auntie Rebekah shouted back at my father. This is why I love her so much because she always sticks up for me.

"I went swimming in the pond not far from the lake." I confessed to him. My father face turns sour and he walks out of the dining room slowly.

"Nicklaus where are you going?" Elijah said.

"I'm going to plan a birthday party!" My father said back as he was walking in the other room. A birthday party? My birthday is not for another week so it can't be mine. Although he always likes to be prepared early.

After dinner I decided to just stay in my room and read a book. That was until my phone vibrated.

Maria- Hey where did you go today? You left me with the twins! Well not that I'm complaining or anything 😏

Hope- I had to leave because I was late to a family dinner. And I see you got on then 😋

Maria- Of course we got on well. And OMG! Have you seen their abs! 😍😏😈

Hope- Oh behave yourself! 😅

Maria- You know you like those abs! And I wonder what they're like in bed? I guess one of us will have to find out. 😏

Hope- I'm going to go before you give me a full description on how your going to do that! Bye Marina!

I always call her Marina when I want her to leave me alone. And she does because she hates that nickname.

Maria- #noshame! 😎Bye hoe! 💕

Sometimes I worry a lot about her. A bit too much actually. But I love her all the same. She's my best friend and nothing will change that. I still need to bring up the subject about the blood. That's not going to be easy.
