A life ends with death, no resurrection, no reincarnation, no afterlife, just death. Death was upon you, guarding you, stroking your cheek with its bony hands. Making you cough and open your eyes. A light guiding you away from the hospital bed, making your consciousness disappear from earth.

Your existence was meaningless now, you had never existed. Gone. I was there when you stopped breathing, I didn't feel anything, maybe you were just an illusion, a memory, a hope. With tired eyes I walked home. Continuing my life, sleeping, eating, living, sleeping.

I never understood the meaning of life, I understood the meaning of death. Death was like falling asleep and never waking up. Life was a burden, doing things that didn't mean anything until death came and told you it was time to leave. Going to a psychologist wouldn't make you happier, it would just make you feel like life wasn't your game to play. Game over was the two words you were looking desperately for.

I don't want to die but I don't want to live. I am afraid to tell you there's nothing inbetween. Death is guiding you home. Don't fight it, just fall asleep.
