"No, no, no, this can't be happening" thought Swara

"There has to be mistake, I was interviewed for a job in I.T. Not as an assistant to that damn - umm to Mr Maheshwari." Swara could feel her heart pounding out of her chest. Guess her yoga session from this morning hadn't been enough.

She had mentally prepared herself and convinced that she would be on the 5th floor which is more than a handful of floors below the Executive floor and it was highly unlikely for Sanskaar Maheshwari to be dropping by the I.T. Department. She had been mortified when she entered the building - she could see it in the eyes of the staff that they knew about what had happened the previous day.

"I'm sorry Ms Gadodia but you have to go to the Executive floor. I'm just following the instructions provided to me," Kavya said regretfully.

Swara sighed and bit her thumb.

"Who do I have to meet?" she asked. Please don't say Sanskaar Maheshwari. Please don't say Sanskaar Maheshwari . Please don't say Sanskaar Maheshwari.

"Mr Adarsh Maheshwari ."

Thank God

"Umm okay thank you Kavya."

"You can take the private elevator, you'll get there quicker," Kavya pointed out when Swara moved to the elevators.

With a 'ding' the elevator doors swished open to reveal Sanskaar Maheshwari himself. Swara froze and she was pretty sure she looked like a deer caught in headlights. She could feel her breakfast churning in her gut. Sanskaar looked up and his dark brown eyes seemed to penetrate her soul making her fidget.

Maybe they could try again?

She smiled tentatively at him before getting into the elevator. He glowered before smirking evilly at her.

Maybe not.

The elevator was huge but Sanskaar seemed to swallow the whole space with his huge presence. Swara squeezed next to him and pressed herself against the mirror at the back of the elevator. She sent a silent prayer as the doors swished close.

The elevator had just started its upward motion when her phone started ringing and "Gandi Baat" started blasting in the elevator. Damn Ragini for putting this as her ringtone

"Oh No," Swara cursed under her breath as she fumbled with her handbag to get her phone out. She could feel her cheeks heat up and Sanskaar tense in front of her.

She finally managed to get hold of her phone and in her haste to stop the music put the phone on loud speaker.

"Oye Hoye Shona, why did you take so long to answer the phone, are you busy or something. Did you see Mr Sanskaar Kaminey Maheshwari?" Ragini's loud voice boomed in the elevator.

"Damn!" Swara muttered as she hanged up. Swara suddenly found herself pressed against the steely chest of Sanskaar . Her head snapped back and she tried to put some distance between herself and Sanskaar by pressing herself hard against the elevator wall.

"Kaminey, is that what you think of me Miss Gadodia?" Sanskaar asked, as he bent his head, his nose grazing her temple. Swara pulled back but found herself with nowhere to go. She pressed the hand holding her phone against his chest while turning her head away from him. His cologne invaded her senses and she closed her eyes, breathing it in deeply.

"Umm...N-no Mr Maheshwari. I-I'm s-sorry. It was just my sister, she likes to talk nonsense and babble for no reason, I think we both inherited it from my mom, even she talks without thinking." Swara babbled nervously.

Sanskaar looked down in her eyes with his icy gaze and pulled Swara even closer to him with a hard hand on her left hip. Swara craned her neck even more to be able to look in Sanskaar's eyes. He was so tall and big.
