I knock on the door. It's probably not unlocked, so I don't even try.
"What do you want?" The door opens to show an annoyed Namie. When she sees me her expression shows thankfulness. "Finally! Get in here and take care of your nuisance."
I step through the door and take my shoes off. "He's been that much of a pain?"
"He can't even move through the house by himself. I have to take care of him so much that I can't even take a minute to go to the bathroom," she complains as she leads me to his bedroom. Of course she didn't need to, but it's just a formality.
"Well, you can go take a break or just leave if you want. I'll take care of things from now on," I assure her.
"Well, then, I'm outta here. Bye," she turns and heads back the way we came.
I sigh and go over to Izaya, who's sulking on his bed. I sit right next to him.
"Shizu-chan, why are you here?" He asks, without looking up at me.
"Why wouldn't I be? I need to take care of you," I tell him.
That just makes him frustrated. He sits up and tries to punch me, but I dodge it easily since he can't tell my exact location. "I can take care of myself! Plus, I had fun bossing Namie around."
"I heard. She said you needed help getting around, so that means you can't take care of yourself," I try to reason with him.
"No, that was just because I don't like Namie," he tells me.
"Then why don't you walk out to the living room without me helping you?"
"Fine," he frowns, "I will."
He gets up and goes to the wall and makes his way a quarter of the way to the doorway before bumping into a dresser. I get up to help him, but he swats me away and feels his way around the dresser. Then he goes back to the wall and puts his other hand in front of him. He finally gets to the doorway and turns around to give me a triumphant look.
"I told you to go into the living room. At least go to the couch." He won't make it.
"You're too cruel, Shizu-chan," he whines.
I smirk even though he can't see it. "So you're giving up?"
He frowns and turns back around. He lets go of the ground and makes his way forward, feeling the area with his foot before stepping forward. I walk slowly behind him incase he can't continue. He finally gets to the couch and looks back at me triumphantly again. He smirks at me and goes to sit down, but misses the couch. He lands on the wood floor with a thud.
I can't help but laugh. I reach out to help him up, but he scowls and swats my hand. He reaches back and hoists himself onto the couch.
I sit down beside him. "You know, I was thinking, we should get you a service dog."
"No," he immediately turns down.
"Why not? Service dogs help a lot of blind people. It won't be as hard to get back into the hang of things."
"Shizu-chan, I am not going to get a service dog," he tells me.
"But why? Give me a reason." He shouldn't be so stubborn. Everybody needs help from time to time.
"Please, Shizu-chan, just...listen to me." Even though he's trying to say this calmly I can hear a slight tone of desperation.
I continue to question him anyway. "Izaya, no matter how much you want to, you can't do a lot of things on your own. A service dog will help lessen that list. Why can't you except that?"
"I don't want a dog!" He screams at me, frustrated.
"But why not!?" I yell back.
"You're so stupid, Shizu-chan!" He gets up and tries to walk out, but in his hurry, he bumps against the coffee table and falls to the floor.
I sigh and get up. Really, he wakes up and starts arguing with me as soon as possible. I go over and crouch beside him.
"Are you alright?" I ask him.
"Go away," he whines.
"Come on, stop sulking," I tell him and grab his arm to help him up. He pulls his arm out of my grip and stands up.
"Leave me alone."
I stand up and hug him. "I'm sorry. I won't make you get a service dog."
"You better not, Shizu-chan. If you do I'll hate you forever," he tells at me and gives me a serious look.
"Izaya, I know you won't, but I won't get you one anyway." I pause. "Why are you so against getting a service dog, anyway."
He gives a small laugh, "You're stupid if you can't figure it out. Can't you tell I...." He trails off. "Nevermind, I'm not going to say it. Just ask Shinra if you really want to know. Plus, I already have a service animal." He smiles at me.
I raise an eyebrow. "Do you now? And what might that be?"
"You, Shizu-chan." He kisses my cheek.
"I never agreed to that," I mumble, even though I know I can't do anything about it.
He wraps his arms around my waist and lays his head on the side of my shoulder. "You can't resist me."
"If I wanted to, I could."
"But you know you'd never want to~"

I'm kind of too lazy to think of something interesting to say right now, so this is all you get.
