So this is E's and Gerard's and Mikey's POV.
Gerard's POV
I entered the theater room, knowing that I'd have to leave for the cafeteria for some stupid assembly later. I usually wasn't a lazy person, but when it came to school I just didn't feel like showing 'school spirit' at a place I cared nothing about.
I was planning on not attending the assembly and just leaving the school because everyone would be dismissed after that anyway, but something had changed my mind. In theater I had noticed that E had seemed really nervous and distant when I tried to talk to her, and when she was partnered with me for some assignment, she would go over to Jessica every so often and whisper something. The only word I caught out of their whispering sessions was the word 'assembly'.
I usually didn't want to get into a girl's business because it was always so complicated and annoying, but I cared about E and if something was bothering her I needed to know.
"E, sit by me during the assembly," I whispered. She looked doubtful, "Uhhh... ok.."
Mikey's POV
It was finally time for the assembly. I was pretty excited to get out off Mr.Hat's class since he was a bore. I followed my friend, Pete out into the cafeteria where the assembly would take place. I spotted Gerard, but where he was sitting, all the seats were taken.
Pete and I decided to sit down a few tables behind Gerard's.
It took about five minutes for everyone in the school to crowd around in the cafeteria, and pretty soon a very small, minute, tiny, undersized, dwarfish, pocket-sized elf appeared on stage. WAIT! THIS WAS NO ELF! IT WAS THAT MONSTER THAT STOLE MY PHONE!
"Hey, Rainbows Ed High School!" Jacob started, holding up MY phone, "SO I found out something really cool today and decided to record it on myyyyy phone since you can't put videos in the yearbook. Soooo, this is a little message from some of our lovely students that go to this school!" Jacob put his microphone down and connected MYY phone to the projector of the school.
He took a video on MY phone.
I would never forgive him for that.
A video of E and Jessica started playing. I rolled my eyes. This was a pretty lame recording.
"So I like Tyler okay?" Jessica from the video spoke, "It doesn't even matter, he probably doesn't like me back." I sighed, this wasn't anything new, I'm pretty sure everybody knew that.
The video continued.
"Now tell me," Jessica spoke, "Do you like Gerard?" I expected E to say no because she's too cool for Gerard, y'know she's up to date with all the cool memes and Gerard doesn't know what a meme is... but her answer took me by surprise.
"Well I'm not sure..he's definitely way better than other guys.... and he's good at art...and he's really pretty...so I think?"
I glanced at E, who was sitting next to Gerard but now was following Jessica to the bathroom. I cursed at Jacob under my breath, I shipped Jessica X Tyler and Gerard X E, but I never knew E liked Gerard. Now Jacob might've ruined it. E might never want to talk to Gerard again.
I rushed over to Gerard who was staring at E leave.
"GERARD YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!" I whisper screamed to him. He nodded, "I know." Then he looked at me, "But right now, you need to rush up onto stage and take your phone back since Jacob just left it there unattended." I looked back to the stage, he was right. Jacob was now in the crowd of his friends playing patty cake or something.
I nodded and left Gerard to do whatever.
E's POV
Jessica had left for Starbucks to see Tyler or something. I'm glad they were actually getting along after what Jacob did. I'm pretty sure Gerard wasn't going to do anything. Ryan and Frank were forced to leave the girl's bathroom because some teacher came in and yelled at them for five minutes, so I was just sitting in the bathroom...alone...staring at a wall.
Someone then knocked on the door.
"It's a public bathroom...the stalls are on the inside...you can come in." I said annoyed.
"It's Gerard."
I pushed the main bathroom door open and stood in front of Gerard.
"I don't want things to be awkward..." he awkwardly started, "Um. So I'm heading over to the Art store today and afterwards I was going to get some coffee...do you wanna come with me? Y'know, to talk about stuff."
"S-sure."
~TOOOO THE ART STORE~
Gerard held my hand while we were entering the store. "I just came here for some acrylics, but if you need anything else from here just tell me," He spoke and took me to the paint section. I shook my head but he ignored me.
"I saw you used the last page of your sketchbook today," Gerard mumbled while shuffling through some paint.
"Y-you did?" I asked. If he saw that then he probably also saw that the last page was a drawing of him.
"Yeah...you were working on it in theater," He replied, "It looked really good. Do you need another sketch book?" Gerard picked up his acrylic paints and took me to the sketchbook isle.
"I-I guess...yeah. Thanks Gerard." I answered.
He chuckled, "You know you don't have to be so shy around me. I know your deep dark secret, and I like you a lot too."
I smiled, "Really?" Gerard nodded and picked out a really pretty leather sketchbook that had an elaborate dark burgundy detailing on the sides. "I think this one matches your aesthetic...or mine... I don't know actually, it just looks very cool." He handed it to me. He was right, it did look really cool.
"It's really pretty."
"I think I'm gonna get one for myself too," He said, picking out an identical sketchbook, "Also... E... can you show me that drawing you made of me later?" I nodded.
~TIME SKIP~
Gerard held my hand again as we crossed the street over to starbucks. When we walked in we spotted Jessica and Tyler sitting there, and all of our other friends from school hiding behind a table spying on them.
I don't think they noticed Gerard and I walking in, and I don't think Gerard noticed them... so I guess we just isolated ourselves from them and sat closer to the window.
The barista delivered our vanilla soy lattes and Gerard and I started talking.
"So um..." Gerard started awkwardly, "Do you wanna like be in a relationship... with me. Like my girlfriend?" He asked.
I wanted to scream I loved him from the top of my lungs but I was afraid that someone else would hear me (woah referencezz).
I nodded, "YeaAH I do!"
I guess I said that too loud because suddenly Ryan and Crankthatfrank noticed we were also there and started screaming.
Then everyone started screaming.
Today was a good day, thanks Jacob ;).
