Locked away from the outside world
I sit
I watch
I lay,
Watching all the other children
They laugh
They dance
They play.
I imagine my life with a different family
Ones that know how to love and care,
Instead I'm unloved
I'm not wanted
I'm filled with despair.
I wish for love
I wish for a day I don't have to fight to survive,
All I want is to be free
To feel alive.
