Well this is amazing, I'm going to be 2 hours late to my first day of school.
"Sorry Camila, I thought you'd already left"
"It's okay I'll see you when I get home" I kiss her cheek and rush out the front door.
Me and my mom have always had a pretty strong connection, my dad walked out on us 2 years ago but I don't care, we never really got along anyway, but since that day my mom and I have always been like best friends.
When I got to school I was told I have to go to the gym for a "first day assembly", which I think is total bullshit because the principal just talks about how she's so happy to have a school so "dedicated" in their work, she should of been a comedian, it could be different here, but that's how it was in middle school.
I walk into the gym and sit next to my best friend from middle school, Jake
"Damn girl, only 2 hours late?? That's a new record usually you're 3 hours late, I'm so proud" Jake says sarcastically while he puts his hand on his chest and pouts
"Shut up Ja-"
"Hey, you two, stop talking" I turn around and see a teacher point at us, Jake and I laugh but look ahead of us and listen to the principal.
"Thank you all for listening, to end this assembly, one of our sophomore students, Lauren Jauregui will be performing a song called 'Say Something' in dedication to our former student who passed away during the break, Rest easy Malcolm"
I look up to see the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, she had long dark brown hair and green emerald eyes, every single one of her features were flawless, she started to play the piano and wow was she good, it wasn't till she started singing and I heard her voice that I knew I needed to find out more about this girl.
