chapter ten: my dorm mate

So, I haven't talked about the dormitory that I am staying in yet right? Ok, so throwback to... yesterday afternoon when I stepped into the school~

*flashback*

I waved goodbye and took a step into my new life. As soon as I stepped in, this lady with a wide smile popped up in front of me, "Hi! Are you new? I guess you are! Come on! Let's go to the office and register you. Come on, come on, come on! You don't have all day!" She said really quickly. Before I could say anything, she grabbed me by my arm and pulled me away.

The next thing I know, I was in this small room with only one wooden table in the middle with stacks of papers and on all of the walls, it was filled with hooks with keys on them.

"Okay, may I get your name please?" She said with that smile that didn't even twitch one bit.

"Zoella Sugg," I told her.

"Oooh okay, you're with Katherine! Take your keys and go out of this room and turn right, go down the corridor and then turn left. Your room would be there. Your room number is number 302." I thanked her and followed her directions and ended up in front of an old wooden door with the number '302' carved onto it.

I was about to turn the knob but the door creaked open slowly. I opened the door fully, seeing the back of a girl with ginger hair sitting at a table opposite the bunk bed. She turned her head slightly when she heard my footsteps nearing her. Oops, now I seem like a stalker or something since I walked in without saying anything.

"Nah," she said.

"Sorry?"

"You said that you seem like a stalker," she replied without turning her head.

Oh, so I said it out loud.

"You said that out loud too."

I felt warmth growing in my cheeks. "Well, I should stop that right?" I chuckled nervously. Way to go, Zoella. Making such an amazing first impression on your newfound friend.

She finally turned her head fully and I saw her green eyes glowing. "Hello, I'm Katherine McNamara. Nice to meet you!" She held out her hand for me to shake. I reached out and shook it firmly.

"Hi, my name is Zoella Su-"

"Sugg, right? Yeah, I was told you were going to bunk in with me." She cut me off. I nodded my head. "Okay, you can put your stuff over there," she pointed, "and I've taken the bottom bunk so you'll be taking the top. Unless you want a change, that's fine by me."

"No, it's okay. I'll take the top," I replied. Of course, if not I would feel like I owed her.

"Do you need me to show you around?" she asked.

I shook my head, "I need to get to my first class."

"Okay, have fun!" she said, I don't think she was being sarcastic.

*end of flashback*
