Before creation God lived in his kingdom in heaven. He had many angels that worshiped Him. Lucifer was a very beautiful angel. He was very good in worshipping God and he composed beautiful songs. He was so good that he became proud and wanted to be like God. Some angels supported him. There broke a great war in heaven against Lucifer and his supporters and God’s holy angels. God’s angels won and Lucifer was thrown down to earth. When he came down to earth, he became the ugly beast Satan. His followers became demons. They wonder around the earth like roaring lions seeking for whom to devour. They are still roaming about. They cause every bad thing that happens in life.

Many years ago, God created heaven and earth. He also created man to dominate and rule all that He had created. Man got deceived by the devil (Satan, fallen Lucifer). He did this to cause enmity between God and man. He almost succeeded. The relationship between God and man was broken. Since the fall of Adam, God had been looking for ways to restore this broken relationship. During the days of Noah (A man who loved God), the sin on earth became so much that God regretted that he created human beings. He therefore decided to destroy the world through flood. But, he let Noah and his family survive. Noah built an ark and rescued a pair of every animal and his family. He told the people about the disaster to come but they ignored him. The rain fell for 40 days and night, destroying every creation except those in the ark. God promised never to destroy the world with flood again. After Noah, people multiplied so with evil.

Years passed by until the days of Abraham. Abraham was righteous before God. God wanted to bless the nations through him. The nation of Israel rose from Abraham. God loved them and wanted to use them to restore this broken relationship he had with man. So that through them all nations on earth will know Him. Israel rejected God and demanded for a king. They were given a king, but King Saul was not totally obedient to God. Then came King David. He was a man after God’s heart. He loved God so much although he was not perfect. After Solomon’s (David’s son) tenor the next kings drifted away from God. God sent prophet to them. Some of these prophets were killed. Then a prophecy came that out of the seed of David will come a messiah and he will restore this broken relationship.

There were 42 generations between the time of Abraham and Jesus. Jesus was born in a manger to Mary. This may sound weird, but Mary was a virgin when she became pregnant. You might not understand because God has created our brains in such a way that we do not have answers to all questions. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit planted the seed of Jesus inside Mary. (God is three in one. Just like humans have body, soul and spirit. God is made up of three personalities: God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit. They are called the trinity. God the Holy Spirit is the spirit of God the father. God the son is Jesus. Soon, you will understand how he got there.)

Jesus grew up in favour with God and man. When Jesus was baptised (Ceremonial declaration of one’s faith in God. It involves dipping one’s head inside water and bringing it up), a dove landed on his head and a voice came from heaven saying,” This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased”.  Jesus performed miracles. He healed the sick and raised the dead. Jesus told his followers about his mission on earth. He told them that he would be handed over to the enemies, killed and he would rise up on the third day. Some people believed Jesus, while others did not. I have the grace of been one of those who still believe in him. Jesus did a lot of things during his ministry. He knew his purpose on earth. Jesus lived a sinless life.

In those days, sacrifices were performed by killing animals. They believed that the blood of the animals atoned for their sins. Inside the temple (a place where sacrifices were made) was a place called the hollies of hollies. Nobody could enter except the high priest. Anybody else who enters will be struck dead. The "hollies of hollies" was the innermost part of the temple. This was the most holy place of the temple. The place was filled with the presence of God and God cannot behold sin. The priest could only enter once a year. He has to be clean of any sin before he enters. If he is with sin, he will die. Before he enters, a rope and bell is tied to his robe. If he enters and no sound of the bell is heard, it means that he is with sin and he has been striked dead. The rope would be used to drag him out.

Jesus came to the earth to die for our sins so that the broken relationship can be restored. At the age of 33 he was arrested and put to trial. Jesus was betrayed by one of his close friends. Judas Iscariot handed him over to the Jewish leaders because of money. Jesus was arrested by the Jewish leaders. They accused him and told a lot of lies before the King. Jesus was sentenced to be crucified.

Before the sentence, the king ordered that Jesus should be wiped with 36 strokes of cain. The King  thought that the leaders might back out, but they did not. On the way to the crucifixion, a crown of thorns was placed on his head. Jesus was crucified between two thieves. His left and right hands were nailed to the cross. His legs were nailed to the cross. Ropes were used to balance his body on the cross. After all, the people were seeing the physical things going on but there was more spiritual exchange that was going on. When Jesus was on the cross, God deserted him. God is a holy God and cannot behold sin. At that point on the cross Jesus was bearing the sins of the whole world. The sins of the present people, the sins of generations to come, your sins and my sins. He took these sins in exchange for his blood and perfect sinless life. The devil did not know about what was going on. He was just happy to see the son of God die.

At about afternoon Jesus said, “It is finished” and he died. Immediately he died the curtain of the hollies of hollies tore into two. People could see what was inside. This means that the barrier preventing us from God has been torn apart. Jesus acted has a mediator (intermediary). After Jesus died he went to hell. Before Jesus’ death, every one that died went to hell. Satan arrested their souls. A part of hell called “Paradise” was left for people that believed in God. Good people like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob went to paradise. When Jesus got to hell (Satan thought that he could capture Jesus’ soul. But Satan underestimated God), Jesus took the key to the get of hell from Satan. Jesus freed the souls under Abraham’s bosom (souls in paradise). Now God controls those who are dammed. He is the sovereign God.

After Jesus finished his mission to hell it was around the third day. Jesus’ tomb was guarded by watchmen. The leaders heard that Jesus told his disciples that he would rise on the third day. These men guarded the tomb to prevent Jesus’ disciples from “stealing” his body. On the morning of the third day there was a great earthquake. The tomb of Jesus shook from its foundation. The guards woke up and saw the cloth that was used to bury Jesus. But Jesus was not there. The guards ran away and went to tell the leaders what they saw. Jesus rose up through the power of God. During his last days on earth, he told his disciples to spread the news of him from Jerusalem, to Judea, to Samaria until the end of the earth.

Jesus is the way the truth and life. He is the link between God and us. No need to sacrifice the blood of animals. Jesus has given up his life once and for all. On Jesus’ last day on earth his followers gathered around him as he was been taken up into the clouds. Two angels came to the disciples and said,” Men from Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky? You saw Jesus carried away from you into heaven. He will come back in the same way you saw him go”. Jesus will come back to take his people home. When Jesus got to heaven he sat at the right hand of God. God gave him power and authority over all others so that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow.

I want you to know that Jesus is real. He has taken all your sins away. All that you have to do is to accept him as your personal lord and saviour. You may feel confused and reluctant now but I have to tell you. This is the assignment that Jesus gave me so that you would not be one of those that will be deceived by the devil. There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ. Good deeds is not enough to get you to heaven. This is what we followers of Jesus Christ do. If you are looking for proof, you will not get. Just like the days of Noah. The only proof you will get is when you stand before God on the day of Judgement and you will have to give account for all that you have done. As for me, my faith in Christ is so strong that not even death can change my mind.

All you have to do is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Live according to the word of God (The bible). The road to heaven is very narrow, but the way to hell is wide and easy. This world is vanity and I look forward to seeing you in heaven. I don’t care if I die young, but as far as I’ve fulfilled my purpose and gone to be with Jesus.

It is now left for you to decide. I’ve played my part. There is no other way to heaven except through Jesus Christ. Hell is meant for the devil and his angels. Satan does not want to go there alone; this is why he is deceiving people. I know that this is hard to chew. You will realise, on that day, the day that your life will end and you will stand before God. Now am free, the rest is left for you. There is life after death.
