Chapter 1

Its cold and rainy outside. My room has a dim light from the window and i'm wrapped up in blankets. Trying to fall back asleep because there's nothing else to do. My parents went out of town for their anniversary. Surprised they left me by myself because they're so strict but they have my aunt check on me 24/7 sooooo. I looked at my phone and had a text from my friend. "You wanna go somewhere to eat with me and Kim?" from Aliyah. I was gonna watch Netflix when i got up but I unlocked my phone and answered. "Depends on where." i said. " HWY 55" she said. I was hungry and there was no food in the house. Mom had left me money. "Why not. Yeah i'll go." "Ok we'll be there in a few." she said. It was 11:48 so they would be here pretty soon. I took a quick shower. I put on some black pants, a white contrast tee shirt, Adidas shoes and a black wind breaker jacket. I pulled my hair up and put a little bit of eye liner and mascara. As soon as  did all that there were already in the drive way blowing the horn. Aliyah was driving so fingers crossed we don't get killed. I got in and kim already had the aux cord playing her favorite bands. Some of the songs i sung to because i knew them and whats more fun than singing songs with your besties? Hwy 55 was beside Walmart in a section that also had a rue21. So we all knew after we ate we were going there after. We pulled up and looked in the window. Only  like two people inside sitting in a booth enjoying their cheese burgers. We went in to the smell of grilled burgers and with the song "Life could be a dream." by the chord ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0R58C2za78#t=62 ). I only knew this song because my cousin used to watch cars a lot and this song was on there. We sat down in a booth close to the window. "Um.... Josiah works here?" Aliyah said. Me and Kim turned. "Wowowowow" i said. He had the hwy 55 outfit on and the hat. Josiah was a good friend of mine and Aliyah's for 3 years. He started walking over to us with a pen and small notepad. Then he realized who we were and turned around. "Josiah come back and take our order." i said laughing. "what do you want?" he said mad but jokingly. I went ahead and took my order cause i always get the same thing where ever i go. "A cheese burger and fries. Are you gonna give me a discount ?" "Uhhh no" he said. I started laughing. "And What do you guys want." he said. "I want a bacon cheese burger and fries." Aliyah said. "I'll get what shes getting." Kim said. "K" He walked off to the kitchen. "Get your man Kim." I said. "Uh that is not my man you knew him longer than any of us Makayla." Kim said. I laughed. "I have a project due Monday but i'm not doing it" Aliyah said. "Why you should it could bring your grade up." i said. "I just don't want to." Aliyah said. The bell on the door jingled and a few people came inside. It was three guys. All were average looking.  A black guy and the other two light skin. The sat two booths behind us. "That light skinned boy is so fine." Aliyah whispered. I started laughing like always. "Go talk to him or something." Kim said. "No, i don't do that." By that time Josiah came and gave us our food. He leaned in  "There's three guys at that table talk to them and get life's" he said. "AHAHAHAHAHA." "Makayla shut uppp." Kim and Aliyah said. "You're to loud." Josiah said walking away. "Sorry." i said still laughing. We ate, talked and paid for our food. "See y'all at school." he said as we left. We walked to rue21 and went inside to look around. I love clothes and if i was rich i'd spend half my money on clothes and shoes.  "If you guys dont find me im probably lost in clothes." i said walking of from them. I really didnt need to spend the money mom left me on clothes but oh well. 

I was admiring all the clothes i could get until Aliyah interrupted me. "Makayla the guys that came into hwy 55 are in here." she said. "And?" "Idk but im excited!!" she said. she walked back to kim and i found me two  t-shirts and a necklace. I payed for it and i found a coupon. Now in my hands lay 35 dollars left from 70. "Yikes." i said to myself. i went over to kim. "Wheres aliyah?" she pointed to one of the guys and aliyah. "Oh wow." i said. I was happy for her but something didn't feel right but i let it go. Kim bought something and we left. We walked to our car. "I got his phone number. He seems really nice. He also invited me to somewhere to eat tomorrow." She said. "oooo" i said laughing.
