If you want to write a good book you must consider who your readers will be.  Always be inclusive so when writing always consider the dumb people in the world. Let me tell you there are a lot of them.

Treat your readers as sheep that way even the ones with an IQ lower than 10 will be able to keep up.
A good way of doing this is describing EVERYTHING your character does.

After all if we don't know exactly what your character had for breakfast how will we be able to make sense of the story?

To keep your story interesting always make the food as yummy as possible for example French toast or chocolate chip pancakes. Even if you don't know how to make any of these foods yourself these yummy foods will keep the audience interested and each reader will probably be ten stone heavier after reading your story.

If your main character is a boy ..... Haha as if . That was a joke we all know your character will be a gorgeous girl with a banging bod and a magnetic charisma (once you get through her shy shell of course).
But if you do have a male character never EVER describe him eating.

Boys don't eat in story's.

Unless he's a vampire then you can describe him draining the blood of a virgin every once in a while or sharing an ice cream with his love interest.
