"7.02, that's more improvement!" my eager gym teacher said to me as I finished my last lap. "I do think you can give it more power in the first lap, you saving too much energy and it is killing your time But the other 3 were amazing!"

I responded with a simple okay and started to walk away.

"Veta, track season is not here yet you don't need to be so obsessed with this I don't understand why you are either way."

"I know it's just fun I guess." I lied as I walk in the opposite direction. The truth was I needed something to be proud of if no one was gonna be proud of me.

The whole gym class got in the bus to head back to the school as pe was the last class of the day for us so we did not need to change back out if we were going to volleyball or football.

The bus pulled back into the school parking lot as well did a few cars to come pick up their kids, but one was out of place, a white van with no windows. Why would that be at the school. Thinking nothing of it everyone got off the bus and into the locker rooms.

"Veta, wait a second I need to talk to you."

I hesitantly walked over to her. "Are you okay you have been acting a little you know lately. There was a pause.

"Yea I'm fine definitely."

"Okay I just needed to be sure."

If there is one thing I don't like it's when people baby me. I just stood there talked for a little and hoped for it to be over soon.

I got my bag, got in my truck and headed to practice, trying not to get caught in the mess of cars leaving the school.
