Chapter 1

 

Great…just what I need, another day of madness at Lawrence High School. Yeah, I go to Lawrence…. the school of dramatic actions and personalities. Here we have the jocks, then the drama geeks, after are the brainiacs, and those without their own reputation. Btw, my name is Angelica Delgado. But, my close friends call me “Angel”.

 

 

 

        “Hey, watch where you’re going, freak,” said a stranger.

 

 

 

        “Whatever,” I said.

 

Oh Yeah, my rep. was being a geek. I joined all the scholastic decathlons, and other stuff.

 

 

 

Here comes the cool crew. OMG, its Blaze Lane! He’s the captain of the football and the soccer team. I’ve known Blaze since I was a baby, Blaze and I stopped hanging out in 10th grade, when Blaze became football team captain.

 

 

 

        “Angel, wait for me!” said a stranger.

 

 

 

I didn’t know who it was so I just walked away.

 

It was time for English & all my classes were the same as Blaze’s. Apparently, today he couldn’t keep his eyes off me. It really creeped me out. I wondered why, cuz he doesn’t care about me anymore. See, Blaze and I had a fight in the 10th grade because Blaze and I used to date each other. But, I broke up with him because I caught him cheating with a cheerleading squad captain, Serena.

 

***FLASHBACK***

 

It was a Friday night and I was going to go watch a movie with a couple of my friends. We had to stop by my friend’s house to pick her up. The place we were going was my boyfriend’s house. We were picking up my boyfriend’s sister, Alexis.

 

“Hey, who’s going to go get Lexi?” I asked. Nobody answered so I knew I was going to have to get her myself.

 

Ding! Dang! Dong!

 

“Hello, Miss Delgado,” said James, their butler.

 

“James, how many times do I have to tell you to call me Angel?”

 

“Just until you decide to go out with me.”

 

Everyone knew I used to have a huge crush on

 

James ever since. James was so cute and he’s only 18 years old. But, I stopped having a crush with him when I started dating Blaze. That’s when we found out that James had a crush on me too. Too bad, I have already moved on.

 

“Hey, where’s Lexi?”

 

“Upstairs, in her room maybe,” he said,” Hey, did you know that Blaze’s in the family room?”

 

“No, but thanks. I thought he was out with his friends?”

 

“Nah, he came home instead.”

 

I went upstairs to go get Lexi. By the time I was there, she was already ready.

 

“Hey, Angie! Let’s go!” she said.

 

“KK”

 

As we left her room, we passed by the family room. And in the room we saw Blaze kissing a girl.

 

“Blaze…” I said my voice breaking.

 

They turned around and I saw the girl. It was Serena Levin, captain of the cheerleading squad. They looked star struck when they saw me. I started to punch her and start cussing at her. Then I ran out of there.

 

“Hey, Angel what happened up there?” James asked.

 

I started sobbing into his arms. A few minutes later, James took me home.       

 

***END OF FLASHBACK***

 

 

 

After that incident, Blaze and I haven’t talked to each other ever since.

 

After school Blaze walked up to me.

 

“hey’

 

“hey”

 

“ Angel I’m so sory. Please forgive me. I never meant to kiss her. We were working on our project for our elective. Then, she just kissed me, you know you’re the one I love. Please forgive me, im beggin’ you. I miss you soo much baby.  I love you!”

 

Right when Blaze said those three words, I started crying. I missed him so much also. But he hurt me so much that I couldn’t bear to see nor talk to him right now. So, I ran away from him.
