Picture of Damari

"Stop is Ash. You know what my parents would say to this if they were to find out!" Damari exclaims to her friend, shooting her a glare.

Ash ignores her glare and laughs. "Come on Mari! You've never seen outside of the pack grounds before! Why don't you live a little?" She asks the last part seriously as she stares at her friend.

Damari slumps in her chair as she sighs. "I hear what you are saying Ash...But I just can't. I won't defy my parents like that...What If they had a reason for doing this?"

Unlike the adults around when Damari was born, None of the younger wolves in the pack know about why Damari was not allowed out of pack grounds. The only thing the young wolves knew was that is was odd that Damari was the first born and only born child of their Alpha and Luna.

Ash sighs in defeat, knowing she would not be winning this. "Fine. Fine. Someday though okay?"

Damari nods as she stares at the blue wall in front of her. She was tempted to say yes. That she would sneak out of the pack territory to explore some. Ash had wanted to show her some of the stores they had in the town next door called Riverside. She had explained how it was a poor human town but was actually kind of cute. Damari wanted to go so bad. But she wouldn't disobey her parents like that. They would be upset with her. Furious even. She couldn't even count how many warnings her parents had given her about not leaving the territory throughout her life. She sighs softly and looks over at Ash as her phone buzzes.

As Ash pulls out her phone and reads whatever it was that was on her phone a grin breaks out. Damari raises an eyebrow and waits until Ash is done typing to speak.

"Let me guess. Damian?" She asks her to which Ash smiles and nods, her eyes full of an emotion Damari wished she had. Love.

"He just got done training. He wants to meet up." Ash says, looking at Damari as if asking permission to go see her mate.

The young girl nods. "Of course. Yes. Go ahead." She smiles at Ash. "Go see your mate."

Ash grins and jumps up. She kisses Damaris' cheek. "Thanks Mari!" She smiles and skips out of the slightly messy room.

Damari sighs softly and stands from her chair, now feeling lonely. She plops down on her bed and closes her eyes, slowly drifting off.

A few hours later Damari is shaken awake by Esme. "My dear...Do you feel alright? You have been asleep for quite some time.." Her mother speaks softly.

Damari frowns as she rubs her eyes and sits up. "What time is it?" She yawns.

"Seven O'Clock." Esme smiles slightly as she looks at her daughter. "You missed dinner."

As if on cue Damari's stomach growls loudly and cause her and her mother both to laugh. "Come on my dear. Your father and I skipped dinner with the rest of the pack so we could eat with you."

Damari smiles at her mother. "Thank you mom." She stands along with her mom. "I'm starving."

Esme smiles. "I'm sure you are." She locks her arm with her daughters and they make there way to the dinning area for a late dinner.

Once the small family is seated a servant brings out the food. Damari smiles at the smell.

As the family talk and laugh with eachother a thought comes to Damari. Maybe I should try asking my parents to leave.

With that thought Damari turns serious. "Mother? Father?" She asks. Both her parents look at her expectently for her to continue.

"I want to explore outside of the territory." She says, placing her hands under the table. She rubs her hands together, nervous.

At this Esme tenses and Finn instantly shakes his head. Mari frowns at this. "Mom...Dad...Please.." She pleads her parents.

Esme shakes her head. "No dear. That isn't allowed.." Her mother frowns. Finn nods in agreement.

Mari turns to her father. She widens her brown eyes at him and gives him a pleading look, hoping that it would work. It always did. "Daddy please? I hate staying in this same stupid place. I won't to explore a bit.."

Finn shakes his head. "No Damari. I mean it."

Damari ignores his rejection and continues on. "Daddy please! What are you guys even hiding from me? Everyone else is allowed off pack grounds!"

Esme sighs. "Mari just stop okay? This is the end of this discussion."

Damari frowns. "What are you hiding from me? Just tell me already! Do you not love me enough to tell me the truth?"

At that Finn jumps up, slamming his fist on the table. "ENOUGH!" His voice booms making both Mari and Esme jump.

Esme stands. "Honey...Calm down.." She soothes to her mate, placing a hand on his arm.

"No!" Finn snaps. "I have heard enough of this!" He then proceeds to push Damari's plate on the floor, the plate shattering. "To your room now Damari Hazel! You are not finishing dinner tonight!" His voice booms. He never got this angry.

Damari stands, knocking her chair backwards. "Fine." She snaps. "I hate you." She glares at her father before storming to her room. Tears start to stream down her face as she slams her door in frustration.

She would see outside this territory. Weather her parents said she could or not.
