Crash.

A thunder let loose from the clouds the moment I stepped off the house. I moved back to the porch when rain started to fall. Staring up in the sky, droplets of water drizzled on my face. I just stood there, letting myself be frozen in cold. I jolted when another thunder lit up the sky... And when someone called my name.

Kevin was standing in front of my house, without anything to cover him from the rain. His hair went messy and his shirt was glued on his body. I snapped out when he called me again.

"Why are you just standing there?!" Kevin yelled at me, placing his hand on his hair. He moved an inch closer so we could see each other better. Rain was pouring so hard, making everything looked foggy.

Instead of backing down, I moved closer to him. I can see his forehead lined up in confusion. Rain poured harder as I heard another crash from above, but I didn't seem to hear it when I started running towards him.

"Wha-" I jumped onto him. My fist clenched in his plain white tee. He seemed too confused as his long arms wrapped around my weak body. "What happened?"

I shook my head. My feet swayed back on the ground, but I'm still grabbing his shirt. I buried my face under his chest as his hands circled around my body soothingly.

"Is it him?" He asked me.

I nodded.

"Is it that bad?"

I nodded again.

"I'm frozen. Are you?"

Lightly punching his chest, I nodded.

"Can we go inside?" He chuckled. Looking up at him, I nodded like a child.

"I won't go to school today, so come in." I mumbled as I moved away from him.

"Why?" I didn't answer him.

We started walking inside the house. I suddenly ran through the chimney and put a fire on it. Brushing both my arms, I glanced at him. He was walking around, looking at the pictures displayed on the wall.

"I don't have a shirt that might fit you. There's no man in this house." I muttered, moving closer to the fire so I could warm up.

"I just came back from a jog so I have my spare on my backpack. Where's the bathroom?" He placed his bag on the ground and he squatted down, unzipping the bag as he searched for his tshirt. I stood up from my place then headed to the stairs.

"Just across the kitchen door. My house is not that big, you'll never be lost."

I walked inside my room and searched for a tshirt, after finding a plain black one, I moved to the bathroom so I could wash myself. Cautiously, I tiptoed inside and turned on the heater. After opening the faucet and making sure the water was warm, I placed myself inside the tub.

Looking into Kevin's eyes, I can see him. That's why I hugged Kevin when we're outside, I want to feel that it was him. I miss his touch. I miss the way we talk and laugh. I haven't seen his smile for a while, a smile that could make me feel that everything's perfect. But things changed, a lot. And a part of me hates him so much, but the other one's mocking me... I still have this hopeful voice at the back of my mind. Right now, I want to believe that things really do happen for a reason. I wish he has one on why he was acting like that.

I shut my eyes close for a moment, shaking all my thoughts off. I can't be all that miserable.

After I finished washing myself, I headed down the stairs and found Kevin on the couch, sitting but his eyes were closed. Rain was still dropping like BB pellets on the roof, and sound of thunders were still roaring above. At least, I got some company now that I didn't attend school. After hearing what happened last night, there's no way I could face everyone.
