I groaned as my alarm went off, school again, even though it's my last year I hate mornings and cannot wait for sleep, sleep and more sleep. This year has been too stressful and the only way I've been getting through so far is my friends, Olliver, Dom, Alex and Ed. Olliver's twin Olivia sometimes hangs with us too, I don't understand why but it may be because she's really shy and doesn't really have any other friends. The best part of going to school is seeing my girlfriend, Zoe, we've been seeing each other since year nine or something and she's awesome and has grown into a beautiful eighteen year old. I can hear my mum coming towards my door so I quickly scramble out of bed and into my school clothes, hoping to spend as little time at home as possible. I run out the door not even bothering to say bye and stop at the end of my street to wait for Cleopatra, don't ask about the name, her parents are history and Shakespeare fanatics. Cleopatra's my best friend even though I've only known her since mid-last year, I'd been really stressed and her and her family had just moved into town. The first time I saw her was at my favourite hiding out spot, I didn't think anybody else would risk the climb to get up here. When I finally got to the spot I was stunned by the girl I saw there. She had long dark straight hair and pale skin, she knew I was there but was choosing to ignore my very presence and that made me want her to notice me more. Once we'd started talking it became clear that we would become fast friends. I was enthralled by her and have been since that day, she didn't seem to have any other friends and her parents were always away whenever I went to her house. Somewhere in the time I had wasted thinking about how I met Cleopatra, she had showed up and was standing next to me with an amused look on her face, like she'd known I was thinking about how we met, she always seemed to know what I was thinking. We walked to my school talking about life, how was Zoe, was she still the great girlfriend I thought she was. I had picked up that she was jealous of Zoe but thought nothing of it. We reached school at the time we always do, just before the bell rings. I quickly rushed to my locker and was getting my books out whilst still talking to Cleo.
Olliver
'I don't know Leo, he's been seeming a bit off lately, only yesterday I heard him talking to someone named Cleo but when I saw him he was by himself!'
'I dunno Olly maybe he's just having a rough time, give him a break, he's still a good guy.'
'I'm not so sure anymore, since last year when his parents broke up. He hasn't been the same person he used to be. He used to be popular and would talk to everyone, even the nerds, which at this school is nearly social suicide. Nobody would bat an eyelid at it. I just don't know what's happening,' he set his shoulders straight, a determined look on his face, 'but I am going to find out.' With that said, he stalked away, purpose in every step he took.

I heard someone call out my name on the way to homeroom and turned around to find Olliver walking towards me with his concentrating face on. 'Hey man! What's up?'
'We need to talk Marcus. I know you've been having a lot of trouble recently but talking to people who aren't there is a problem.'
'What do you mean who aren't there? I don't talk to people who aren't there.'
'Well then, who were you talking to? Are you ditching us for a new group of people? We've been friends for years and all of a sudden you've stopped hanging out with us, what's with that?'
