Maddison's POV-
(Maddison is only 7 in the part of the story and Shanelle is 19)
I smiled up at my older sister, Shanelle, she was at the park with me. I climbed up on the swings and looked up in the sky.

"Shanelle, do you think our life is perfect?" I smiled curiously waiting for an answer, at first I thought she wasn't gonna answer but she opened her mouth to answer.

"Sadly no, nobody's perfect Maddison"
She quickly averted her gaze from me and gazed over the sunset.

"Shanelle? Can we go back now?"
She gave me a quick nod of the head and we walked back home hand in hand to our house.

"Carol-Ann! How long have you been doing this?! I've saw that email?!" I was gonna walk into the house but me and Shanelle could hear my fathers raging voice through this house.

"Gus, nothing's going on! You never believe me!" The next voice was my mothers. I've never heard her yell that loud, I was scared.

I turned the handle and walked into the kitchen and screamed we're home so I wouldn't have to hear this go on any longer. My mother and father walked in glaring daggers at each other whist smiling at me.

"When did you guys come back?" My mother said in a heart warming voice.

"About two minutes ago" My sister glared daggers at the both of them, I knew she wasn't happy.

"How was the park, Maddison?" My mother was trying to cover the tear stains on her cheeks with a smile.

"Good..." I was to young to understand this at the time. Before anyone could ask me more questions I ran up to my room closed the curtains and grabbed my pillow. My salt stained cheeks made me realise what Shanelle said at the park was true, I never knew that my futures held to many tears for me... But I soon realised my mum was living the biggest lie ever....
