Chapter 2

"Um, you might as well kill me you know."
"Okay, then when you're done please call."
"Sure.......so I'll see you at the mall in the afternoon."I said, ending the lengthy chat I had had with Morris. Mum had forced me to get my Maths textbook and solve some equations so I was stuck in my room with it:she didn't know that I had my phone with me.
She should have seen my legs on the table whilst chatting. But Morris wanted to come over and help me learn buh I declined anyway.

Who said bosses ever needed help? 😎😎😎😎
Anyway, the Boys League members had decided to meet at our rendezvous, the Tysonville Mall and I had gathered some money to get some of those cool Jordan's:I really like their shape and are good for basketball players like me. You know l had found Ron's school pictures and so to pay him back, I was designing them -  drawing mustaches of different shapes on them.

All of a sudden, I heard some footsteps which sounded like mum's. I lifted my textbook, placed it on the table and literally buried my head in it. She opened the door and nodded and I returned the nod. Yo, she seemed impressed with my 'efforts'. She walked away and I walked over to my bed. I bent to see if they were under it. No they were in my wardrobe, I thought. "Wait." I said, feeling something.
Yup, I pulled them out, plugged them in and put the speakers in my ears. Usually, youngsters like me who don't care what happens plug their earphones and get lost in some music.

My brother later came back from his basketball team practice and I  was in the hall watching some TV. He dropped his bag on the shelf in the hall and threw his shoes away.
"What's showing?"He asked me with his hands on hips like a girl.
Vrrrrrrr........... His girlfriend was calling him. 😊😊
"Hello Tanya."He said whilst moving away to his room.

Lemme tell you guys about this whole thing. Legend has it that once, like some two months ago, she approached him after his game and was like she wanted to be his friend. They exchanged numbers and addresses. That night, my brother called her and they spoke till after midnight. They became good friends and one day, my brother told her that he liked her and she said same. They met at the mall and chattered for long the following day the way lovers do.
After some time, they started dating and then it became official. My brother brought her home some weeks ago and it was nice having her. She's nice and really beautiful (I mean no harm) and the two make a very cute couple💕💞💕💗. I like her because she doesn't kill me about education though she's brilliant and cool-she understands me. 😃😃😃

After a while, he returned smiling from ear to ear. '' Yo, what did she say?"I asked enthusiastically.
"She wants us to go out....... "
The telephone then rang." Hello."I said, placing the receiver on my ear.
"Yeah, hi Leslie, we're ready."Morris said.
"Okay, I'm on my way."I replied.
"Cool,"I said, returning to the earlier conversation. "anyway, I've got to be meeting my friends at the mall........ Can you please drop me off?"
"Sure!"He replied. After that, I left the hall for my room. I changed and put my basketball in my bag and ran to the kitchen. "Bye mum, dad."
"Bye,take care.''
As we were on our way, I was texting Wendy to convince her to come along with me to the meeting😥😥😥😍😘. Sooner than later, we entered the driveway lined with ornamentals which led to the parking lot. Jerome parked so that I could get down.
"Say hi to Tanya for me. "I said.
"Okay," he said, giving me a handshake. "I will."he continued.
I then waved at James and Morris who were standing nearby.
"Yo, let's meet the rest. I hear they're at the lobby."I told them. We walked into the lobby and saw them. I then moved in to the mall, got the pair of Jordan's and walked over to the counter to join the line. Whilst in line, I met Wendy.
My heart jumped, finally she came. 💓💓💞😍😘I walked towards her.
"Hi."She said when she saw me.
"Hiii.............. I've got something to tell you. "I said.
" Yeaaah?" She asked, looking interested.
"I want to apologize for the pea attack yesterday. I heard you were very upset."
"Okay."
''We're meeting at the court. Can you come?"
"Err, yes."
It got to my turn and I paid for the shoes. We then walked hand in hand to the court.
