Chapter 23: I'm really sorry

*Jade's P.O.V.*

"Are you sure it's okay if I do this?" Andy asked.

I nodded again.

He hesitated. He let out a sigh and then pulled back my sleeve revealing the gauze that was still there from last night. It was covered in dried blood. He pulled back the gauze to reveal my scarred arm. There were so many cuts, I don't remember making all of them. He frowned, holding back tears. He ran his thumb over them which hurt a little bit. I looked at him and a tear slid down his cheek. I sighed again.

"I'm really sorry, Andy." I said softly, holding back tears.

"It's okay, sweetheart." He said, pulling me into a hug.

The tears started flowing again.

"I tried not to, I really did!" I said, starting to sob.

"I know, sweetheart." He said.

He just rubbed my back as I cried into his chest again. Juliet had gotten up and went away.

"It's okay." Andy said.

He sounded like he was crying. We hugged until we had gotten all of the tears out of our system. We separated from the hug and took some time to recollect ourselves. I looked up at Andy. He was crying and wiped away his last tears from his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Andy." I said.

"It's okay. I still love you and I want to help you get better." He said.

"I want to get better too." I said.

He smiled at that.

"So, um, what was your dream about anyway?" He asked.

I sighed.

"If you don't want to answer it, you don't have to. I don't want anything bad to happen" He said immediately.

"No, I should tell you." I said.

I explained my dream to him. I explained how I was back home and the 'monster' appeared. The monster was my dad. I told Andy how he beat me and how he told me I was going to die. I told him how scared I was and that's why I woke up screaming. I told him how I got the urge to cut and I couldn't get rid of it except by doing it. He listened and comforted me as I told him.

"It's okay, Jade. You're with us now. No one is going to hurt you like he did. You will always have us and we will protect you no matter what." Andy said.

"Thank you." I said.

We hugged one last time and then both went into the kitchen where Juliet was making food.

"Oh yeah, we are going to CC's today for a cookout." Andy said.

"Cool." I said.

"Yeah." Andy said.

"Don't you guys ever get sick of eachother?" I asked.

"Sometimes. This tour was pretty short, only about a month, so I'm not completely sick of them yet." Andy said, laughing at the end.

"That's true. I'm sure if you're with them for like six months at a time, you start hating eachother." I said.

"Yes, absolutely." Andy said.

We all laughed.

"Okay, I'm almost done with this salad. We are going to leave in about two hours so you can get ready. We have to be there by 3." Juliet said.

"Okay." I said.

I went to my room and started getting ready. I hopped into the shower and cleaned myself, wincing at the pain in my arm as the water washed over it. I got out and got dressed. Most of my clothes were still disgusting from tour so I borrowed one of Andy's band tees because that's all I wear. I wore a long sleeve under it to hide my scars and new cuts. I finished getting dressed and did my hair and minimal makeup. I was all ready and walked into the living room to see Andy and Juliet making out on the couch. I coughed really loud but they continued.

"Wow." I said under my breath.

"Cough cough." I said.

They broke away from the kiss and looked at me.

"You all ready?" Andy asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Okay, let's go." Andy said.

They both got up and we walked to the car. I brought my skateboard with me to entertain myself. We then drove off to CC's house.
