Two friends - a rich man, a poor man were outside walking in the street. The rich man was wearing a black suit and he had suit shoes on his feet. The poor man was wearing an old big well-worn jacket and pants with holes in them. They were going to the cinema to watch the premier. While they were on their way to give the tickets to the guy who gives permission to go inside the actual cinema, he denied the poor man.

- Who are you? Asked the man with the tickets.

- I am going to watch a movie, the poor man answered questionable.

- You aren't allowed to go in here, he said.

- What? Why? What is the problem? The poor man asked.

- No answer, get out of here.

The poor man walked slowly outside, wondering why he wasn't allowed to watch the movie, after that the rich man came running towards him.

- What happened? The rich man asked.

- The "ticket guy" told me I wasn't allowed to go in there.

The rich man got angry and he walked towards the "ticket guy" with anger on his face.

- What was that? He asked.

- What? The "ticket guy" asked.

- Why didn't you let my friend in?

- Oh, uhmm.

- Let him in! The rich guy screamed.

- I can't! The "ticket guy" said loud.

He threw his ticket at the guy and he walked towards the poor man.

- Screw that guy! They said.

Later on they both had a craving of candy so they walked to the mall to buy something nice for later on so they chose a candy bag of chocolate, the rich man went first.

- Hi! The rich guy said happy.

- Hello! The cashier said and smiled.

The poor guy went next.

- Hello! The poor guy said.

The cashier was quiet the whole time, the cashier didn't even say bye to him.

You would get treated different if you didn't have much money, the poor guy said.

But the rich guy answered straight up that it doesn't matter, he thought.

Spending the rest of the night was a great time for them, eating the chocolate.

Days goes and they don't see each other for a while.

A week after they saw each other on the street, the poor man walked over the road to see him.

- Hey man! What have you been up to?

- Not much, just trying to earn some money for food, the poor man answered.

- Want to go and eat some food tonight?

- Sure!

On the restaurant they sat, ordering something to eat.

- I would like to order some meat! The rich man said.

- Okay! The waitress said.

- I want to order pork.

The waitress didn't respond.

After a few minutes the waitress came back with the food.

- There you go! The waitress said to the rich man.

- Thank you.

The waitress didn't say anything to the poor man when she gave the food to him.

- Oh my god! This is delicious, the poor man said.

- Yeah, mine is good as well.

They enjoyed their food and also they both had a craving of dessert after.

- Excuse me, can we order a dessert too?

- Yeah! Sure, what do you want then?

- I would want some vanilla ice cream with bananas, on the side by the way.

- Okay, uhmm... How about you? The waitress said quietly.

- I want the same thing but with strawberry ice cream.

Doubting on leaving the restaurant because of the waitress they both stayed instead.

A few minutes later the waitress came back another time with the dessert, the rich man got the right things, vanilla ice cream with banana on the side, the poor man got banana ice cream instead of his strawberry ice cream.

- Hey! I got the wrong ice cream.

- Too bad, the waitress said.

- The rich man got really mad and decided to follow the waitress into the place where they cook the food.

- Why do people treat people with less money different?

- We don't.

- Then why did you say "too bad" when you have him the wrong ice cream.

- I don't know, she responded.

He forced them to give the poor man the right ice cream and his money back.

When he came out with the money and the ice cream the poor man sat next to his table crying.

- You didn't have to do that...

- Of course I did, they gave you the wrong thing. By the way, they gave you your money back too.

- Why are you even doing all this for me? The poor man said crying.

- Because they treat you different, I realized a few weeks ago but I didn't want it to affect you.

- Dude, you are the best guy I have ever known, you don't care about how poor I am.

The rich man sat down and they started eating together.

He also thought of a thing later on that night, what if he would have given the poor man a suit that he could wear to see if people actually treat people different by how much money they have.

So they went to hairdresser, the thought was that the poor man was going to get a short haircut.

It took about 45 minutes.

After that, they went to a store to buy an expensive suit, and suit shoes.

The idea was to go back to the restaurant where the poor man got his wrong ice cream, to see if she could recognize them both.

Walking outside the restaurant, they saw through the window that the girl was working that day too.

They go inside.

- Hi again!

- Oh hello! Is that you from last week? She asked.

- Yes that's me.

They ordered some food to eat...

After a few minutes of eating, the rich man shouts at the waitress.

- Can I have strawberry ice cream with bananas on the side? The poor man asked.

- Yes, sure!

- She comes back a few minutes after.

- Do you remember my friend here? The rich man asked with anger.

- No, she answered quickly after.

- It's the guy who you treated badly last week, it's the same guy.

The waitress doesn't say anything, she runs into the cooking room.

I guess you were right my friend, people do treat other people different because of their money.
