The buzzing alarm goes off, filling the room with sound. Amelia rolls over on her bed, slamming her hand down on the snooze button. 5:03 am.

She doesn't have a lot of time to get ready this morning, so she hops in the shower. The water is slow to heat up, so by the time she's done, the water will be luke warm. The cool droplets of water still on her skin evaporate, leaving her body chilled.

As she wraps her towel around her body, the door swings wide open."Boo!", her little sister yells.  Catching Amelia off guard, she falls back, landing on her butt with a loud thud.

"Kiara.." Amelia hissed.

She broke into giggles and tore down the hallway. Her mom, Sara, then comes walking down the hallway. Sara had her mom face on, and Amelia could tell this wasn't going to be good.

"It is 5:30 in the morning, what do you think you're doing?!" Sara quietly yelled.

Amelia being 15, she smirked and crossed her arms.

"Did you forget something?", she asked.

Sara continued to stare at her, with a confused face. Then, it's like someone turned on a light switch.

"Ohhhh... That thing." Sara bit her lip like she was guilty. "Umm... Well, I'm going to..um..go take care of something in my room." She went back down the hallway with a quick pace.

Amelia could help but smile and shake her head. 'Some days..' She thought to herself.

A little later that morning, they were supposed to met Amelia's best friend, Megan, and her mom at the entrance of the woods to take sunrise pictures for a photo contest. The woods had just connected at the back of her neighborhood.

After Amelia, Kiara, and Sara were ready, they were heading out the door.

"Did you grab your camera?" Sara asked.

Amelia realizing she didn't, she said, "Give me one sec." She raced back in the house, running up the back stairs towards her room.

She grabbed the black case off of her baby blue bed and grabbed the lens cleaner off her dresser.

Amelia ran down the stairs, not paying attention to her footing, and stumbled over her size 9 feet. She ran back outside, catching back up to Sara and Kiara, who were already at the end of the driveway.

"You ready?" Sara asked.

"Yeah."
