The Lonely Space Man

I'm lost in space

Divided by time and place

Separated by the look on your face

I'm a lonely traveler who wanders through empty space

Searching the planets and the stars for the right things to say

To tell you how I wish you were in my arms every single day

But as time goes by and separates the way

My mind slowly starts to shut down and fade away

Forgetting the path I've chosen to live by

The one reason I will never say goodbye

I'll love you even after the day I die

I'll be in the stars above in the sky

Looking down at you and wiping away the tears that you cry

I'm a lonely space explorer

With a love from the universes other corner

The person I dedicate my life to is my daughter

The sweetest thing God gave me was her smile

It made me happy and took away all my troubles for a while

I look at her picture now and I start to wonder

How long will I have to wander

Until the words I'm looking for are thrown asunder

How long before my dedication to her pulls me under

And suffocates me like a heart break's plunder

I am the lonely space man...
