RILEY

Jared is home! I'm so happy words can't explain it. But I will be leaving in less than a 2 weeks. My face fell.

"What's the matter, Riley?" Jared asked.

"I am leaving in less than two weeks for London for my documentary project," I responded, sadly. Jared's face fell, too.

"Are you leaving on your birthday?" he asked. I nodded my head, eyes focused on the floor. "Well. We need to do something to get you mind off that for now. How about...?" he trailed off thinking.

"We should go see a movie," I suggested.

"Sure, what movie?" he questioned.

"Um, what about the Thor movie that is out?" I responded.

"You really are my sister," he said chuckling. He stood up. "Let's go." I stood up and followed him to his car.

"Just wondering, how are the Twins doing this year so far?" Jared asked. (A/N: they live in Minnesota)

"They are 13-32."

"What about the Vikings?"

"Still suck."

"Lynx."

"Still dominating."

"Wild."

"Shootin' and scorin'. I have a basketball game on Saturday, you coming to watch?"

"Of course I am." We got to the theatre and asked for our tickets.

"Here you go," the person behind the counter said.

"I heard this movie was pretty good," Jared said as we were walking to the theatre.

"Just not as good as Catching Fire," I responded.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••

"That was a great movie," Jared exclaimed as the movie ended.

"That was," I agreed.

"What do you want to do now?" he asked.

"Can we go to the archery range in the woods?" I asked. We have a woods behind our house and we set up an archery range. We used it everyday while Jared was here before. I still went back there by myself when he was gone, but it wasn't the same.

"Let's go," Jared started to run.

"Jared, I'm not that fast," I started to run, too. He started to laugh. He got to the car and I was almost there. When I got there, he was already in the car and the keys in the ignition.

"You're so slow," Jared laughed.

"Am not," I faked a hurt expression. "I will totally dominate you when we get to the range though."

"You're on," he responded. We got there and the first shot I made was a bull's eye. "You are like a shorter version of Katniss from Hunger Games," Jared commented.

"I'm not that short," I responded, faking a hurt expression. Jared shot and barely made it on the target. I stuck my tongue out at him and he burst out laughing.

"You are too. But you are really good at basketball, if I remember correctly."

"Well, then you do remember correctly. I'm the shortest on the team, the oldest on the team, and I've been told I'm the best on the team."

"You make a very good point," Jared said, trying to shoot again and going right above the target.

"Seems like you off your game," I commented as I shot, yet again, another bull's eye. We kept shooting; I kept making bull's eyes or close to it, and Jared kept just barely hitting the target or not hitting it at all.

"Do you know how Ashley's doing?" Jared asked out of the blue, a hint of sadness in his voice. Ashely was Jared's girlfriend, they wanted to make the long distance work.

"She promised that she would wait until you get back," I started, "and she did. She was waiting for you to get back and didn't even think of moving on to someone else." I smiled and so did Jared. He hugged me tight.

Ashely and I are like sisters, at least we treat each other like sisters. We talk about everything with each other. We just cried and cried when Jared left. I was only 13 when he left, and they had been dating for 2 years already.

"Ok, clearly, you have proven that you are better than me. I have to talk to Ashely," Jared said putting the bow down.

"I have an idea."

It's a little shorter than the other chapters. Oh well. I hope you liked it.
