The Last Ninja

The Phoenix Kingdom

The whole night Mamoru couldn't stop thinking of what Maddison said about her past. He had known a little about how she was feeling, since was an orphan also. He also knew what it was like to be all alone and abandoned he was barely able to stay alive, that was until his sensei took him in and cared for him. Mamoru was thinking about if he was going to be able to defeat the Evil Samurai and if he did was he going to keep Madison safe. He turned over and looked at Madison and he realized that he would not be the one to protect her from all harm, she would have to fend for herself. Just the thought of her even getting hurt at all made his stomach turn, then he decided that he would protect her even at the cost of his life!

The next morning Mamoru woke up early and started getting ready to head out, as he was packing up he glanced over at Madison sleeping. As he watched her sleep, it seemed as the whole world had come to a halt.  The sun peeking through the trees onto her perfect face as she dreamed aimlessly through the world of her imagination. Her smile as bright as the sun itself . Her warm expression made it seem as though nothing in the world even compared to her beauty, just the mere sight of her made Mamoru fall in love with her all over again. he shook his head to get back to work, but there was something that couldn't let him stop looking . As Maddison woke from here slumber smiling as she yawned and stretched her arms, her eyes opened as her yawn fell into a smile as her eyes fell into a fixed gaze at Mamoru. He stared at her and her eyes began to sparkle in the specks of pouring through the trees as the day began. "Good-Morning " she said with her usual cheerful tone "Morning Beautiful" Mamoru replied, both there eyes widened as they both realized what he had just said and both of them began to blush.

 Both of them finished packing up as they were both still blushing and headed towards town to buy more supplies, as they traveled the saw a ginormous gate with walls 50 meters high that seemed to go on forever. Both the banners on either side had the symbols of "the kingdom of the Phoenix", the symbol a picture with the Mount of Fire and a great Phoenix arising from the peak of the mountain. The Phoenix kingdom (as it was commonly called) was the only kingdom that had not been concurred by the Evil Samurai, because the phoenixians (these were the people of the Phoenix Kingdom) had learned how to control fire and use it in battle. As Maddison and Mamoru were observing the banners a band of ninja came from the forest and ambushed Maddison and Mamoru. both of them fought with all their might, but during the fight Mamoru saw little blazes of Fire. When Mamoru was fighting the other ninjas he suddenly came to a complete stop and glanced up at one of the ninjas with a knife to Maddison's throat "put down your weapons, or the girly here gets a little trim" then Mamoru remembered his commitment " to protect Maddison even if it cost him his life" Maddison struggled as the knife grew tighter against her neck "So, what's it going to be" said the ninja. Mamoru clenched his teeth as he released his weapon the other ninjas came behind him and tied him up as they brought  him and Maddison into the kingdom "Thank you, for saving me back there" wispered Maddison to Mamoru. "It's okay" answered Mamoru "but, we couldn't of beat them anyway, these are the Phoenixian's elite soldiers, The Fire Birds."
