When the z-virus first broke out, no one knew what the hell was going on. People panicked; there were mass suicides, whole cities burned to the ground to keep the virus from spreading. But the virus still spread like wildfire, infecting 95% of the human race over night. Survival became a way of life along with killing for those who have survived. Everything failed society, government, and even the military.
We couldn't even say the military left us to die. They were no match against it; they too became a part of the undead. The military base camps were overrun within seconds of the walls and barricades collapsing. The z-virus was a government biological weapon that went horribly wrong but in the eyes of the researchers they created "The Perfect Storm."
It turns those infected into hell bound creatures that are on an endless search for flesh. Those who are turned have no memory of their lives before and will go after the ones they once loved and protected. There are only two ways to kill these creatures, either a single shot to the head or cutting the head off completely. We also learned within the small amount of time that sound attracts them.
There are only a select few, who have survived the outbreak. And those who have, not only face death and their greatest fears on a day to day basis but they have to fight the dead that walk, but they have to fear the living. The darkest days of earth have arrived. Who will survive and who will become another soldier in the legion?
So now, I am sitting in a library with my small group of surviving friends, reading a manual on what to do in an event of a zombie apocalypse. Not a bad book actually. The author had a lot of good points but I can prove a lot of them wrong now that there's are bits and pieces of zombie anatomy, all over the place. At least, I'm not alone; I've got plenty of company alive or not.
