Twelve Days of Japanese Robots

On Monday, while barefoot at the beach, we vowed a love stronger than Godzilla. Our affection was similar to a power grid guarded by Japanese robots armed with death rays.

Early Tuesday we had a fight that indicated a few domestic differences.

By Wednesday we were wondering if there might be others out there who we could love for eternity.

Thursday saw our relationship as a toss-up.

Sometime Friday afternoon she contacted the hitman.

As I walked by the waves on a fine Saturday morning, the assassin put a bullet in my brain.

The police arrested her on Sunday, since the hitman was an idiot.

The police grilled her all day Monday.

A stenographer came in Tuesday and she gave a statement that said, "I loved him more than Japanese robots."

"So why did you kill him?" said the cynical policemen smoking in the corner.

"The robots misfired. It was a celluloid accident."

The policeman said, "Well, make sure you explain all of that to your lawyer."

On Wednesday the policeman looked at his pretty wife and wondered about Japanese robots with defective death rays.

On Thursday, as I waited patiently in my coffin, the shadow of Godzilla spread out across the metropolis and the sirens went off and the people ran in terror down the streets hoping to be saved by Japanese robots.

My burial was cancelled on Friday due to the city going up in flames as Godzilla knocked over buildings.

The monster had won again. He laughed with fireballs and he easily overcame the faulty technology of robots.

He lifted his giant foot and smashed down upon the spot where I had once stood with the good looking woman who murdered me.

Everyone watched as Godzilla waded into the ocean and finally disappeared beneath the surface.

The tip of his head looked like a prehistoric marriage certificate.
