The sky darkened to a shade of ominous blue. The patter of shoes hitting cobbles echoed down the hollow streets. Wind swept the ground swirling dust into the air, finally settling into a fog. The smell of blood rose into the air as the sound of the shoes stopped. The atmosphere was deadly still, creating a deafening silence over the alleyway. A scream tore through the silence and then a sound that resembled a savage animal followed. The shadows danced across the dusty walls as something rose in the darkness. Then something launched itself at me, I closed my eyes. I slowly opened them the image a blur. My eyes focused on the eyes of another. A small girl her brown hair spilling out around her. I looked into her eyes and her eyes widened and she pressed something into the palm of my hand. A ruby medallion with a gold chain. "The game has just begun" she whispered and her eyes rolled back into her head I screamed "somebody help me please! somebody help" my words began to slur into a trail of agony.
I bolted upright my head hit on something . "Ouch!" I rubbed my head and my eyes met somebody else's "are you ok you were screaming and I tried..." I tried to concentrate on what she was saying but the words kept echoing through my head "the game has just begun" what did that even mean. It was a dream it's the only explanation. I felt something dig into my hand and I unraveled my hand to see the ruby necklace. "The games have just begun!"
