Until I met you

Prologue

Third person pov
" I'm sorry.....I know that...I-I..."

Astrid sighs in sadness, for she couldn't get the words out of her mouth. She takes a deep breath and tries to apologize once more.

"I'm sorry hiccup for having to tell you this, I truly am. It just kinda happen, maybe this a way that's telling us that we aren't met to be together. That maybe we are suppose to take different paths at this certain point. And I'm grateful for everything you gave me and the moments we shared and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I...just...couldn't help but fall in love with Eret and I hope that someday you can ever forgive me and become friends...but..for now this is goodbye."

Astrid gathered her things and stood up leaving cash for her part and started to take her leave.

At this point Hiccup was ready to explode with tears that were at edge of melting down his cheeks. He watched Astrid leave the café without another word. At that moment, he lost sense and couldn't run to Astrid and stop her. He thought it was a joke of some sort that maybe Astrid would come back and explain that the twins made her do this dare..but.. She never did come back.

He exhale deeply and got up, payed and took his leave. As he started walking to his house he started thinking melancholy.

He couldn't believe that just one month ago they both were happily celebrating their high school graduation. And he never ever thought that something like this could happen for it was Astrid. Him and Astrid have been going out since the beginning of freshman year, four years total!! He couldn't understand how she fell in love with Eret but he did see them get close since the day they both met. He guessed he was just not good looking or boyfriend material. He sighed once again beginning to become gloomy and hopeless again, thinking about the memories they both shared, knowing she would create new ones. Tears started to stream down his face.

Once he got home and closed the door he let out a painful cry, that maybe even the neighbors could of heard. He slid down the door and started to weep and howl out tears that were forced to hold on earlier before. His pet kitty named toothless purred at his masters feet, knowing something was wrong and tried to comfort his human friend.

He started to say such random thoughts;
"W-why.... , am I not good enough for you... Am I scrawny and can't protect you... Or is it my shaggy long hair... Or the fact that I'm too short ...which is it!!! Tell... Me...please. "

He stayed laying there until his tears dried out for he was to miserable to move but soon enough he would have to get up for his parents would soon arrive.

He knew for one thing that he wouldn't or choose not to fall in love again, for this he vowed to himself . For he will always remain in love with the one girl who broke his heart and left without a trace of existence. For that will be his prison, that will turn him into a quiet,bitter cold hearted person.
Until he met someone who changed his fate....

Little did he know in the far future something awaited him for him to discover once again..
