*Andy*
I was running away from a man, I was running as fast as I can through an enormous forest. I don't know how much longer I can keep running. I know I lost him by now, but I can never be too sure. I saw a road & I had to cross it to get to my safe place. Suddenly I saw headlights speeding in my direction, everything went black afterwards.
--*Dave*--
Brandon, Hayden, & I where driving down a lonely road on a Halloween night. We were laughing & telling jokes, none of us drank that night for some odd reason. I saw a figure run in front of the car, immediately we heard a crash. I halted the car & ran outside to see what we hit. Oh god no! We hit a boy! I kneeled down to try & make the boy wake up.
"CALL AN AMBULANCE!" I cried as I held the boy in my arms. I don't know him, but he can't die alone. Dave stop thinking like that, he's not dead, right? I checked the boy's pulse & it was barely there, but his heart was still beating.
"I'm so sorry." I sobbed, I felt extremely guilty for almost killing him. I mean, who wouldn't? The ambulance arrived & we told them what happened. We followed the ambulance & this time Hayden was driving. When we got there we were told to wait in the waiting room. Time went by & we where to only ones in the waiting room. A doctor came out & walked towards us.
"Are you here for the boy that got ran over?" The doctor questioned.
"Y-yes. Is he okay?" I begged.
"He's alive & is about to wake up soon. May I ask you relationship with the boy?" The doctor asked.
"We kind of ran him over by accident." Hayden nervously responded.
"Well, who's the one that drove the car?" The doctor curiously said.
"I did." I looked down at my shoes.
"I'll have to run a test to see if you weren't under the influence & I'll ask you a few questions." The doctor lead me down a long corridor & we reached a room. The doctor ran the tests & I checked out.
"I'll allow you to see the boy. Just don't pressure him. We don't know what he was doing or if he ran in front of your car as an attempt of suicide. I mean have you seen anyone show up to identify him? The boy does have past bruises on his skin that can tell us that he was either abused at home or severely bullied, poor boy. If he wakes up with amnesia then don't ask him about the bruises, he's unstable as it is." The doctor explained.
"I will do my best, thank you doctor." I sadly smiled at him.
"No problem." The doctor lead me to the boy's room & it was an awful thing to see. The boy had wires everywhere & he laid motionless on his bed.
"Hmmm." The boy groaned as he fluttered his brown eyes open, the bit tried to sit up but I gently pushed him back.
"Hey, be careful." I soothed.
"H-hey, ho-how are yo-you feeling?" Brandon asked.
"I feel like crap. Who are you? Where am I?" The boy freaked out.
"You where in an accident. I kind of ran you over by accident. I'm terribly sorry by the way." I felt the boy stare at me at disbelief.
"Well, I'm Andy. I, uh... That's all I remember." Andy seemed to try to remember more.
"I was born in May 1.... I'm 15 years old. Uh, that's right about it." Andy sadly responded.
"Hey, I'll take care of you until you can go home okay. Take this as an apology thing." I offered.
"Okay." Andy's voice was quiet.
"I'm Dave, that's Brandon & Hayden. We live together." I told Andy.
"Hi." Andy nervously waved. The guys waved back.
"Alright, you should get some sleep Andy. We'll see you in the morning to get you, alright?" Hayden said.
"Okay, thank you guys so much." Andy called.
"See you later." Then we all walked out the door & started planning on how we're going to deal with Andy. He seems like a great kid, but we don't know how to take care of him. I guess we'll have to find out the hard way.
