Heres the thing... I've always loved singing and all, but recently I learned I had a talent for dancing as well. I dance ballroom, sing all genres and I'm an expert at all secrets- especially my own. If you came up to me, and asked me if I was musically talented, I'd have said, "Does whistling count?" Then everyones happy and I get my privacy... Until now.
My dad has this insane idea, that if our doors are always open we have no secrets. Well, sorry dad- but thats unrealistic.

"Doors have to be open! Open up, Alyssa!" My dad opened the door, and I screeched.

"Im CHANGING!" His face got red, and he apologized over and over through the now closed door.

And just when I thought it couldnt get any worse... My dad dropped the nuke on the household.

"Oh and everyone remember how certian doors were unhinged? If you close your door i'm getting you curtians!"

He was referring to a year ago, when my sister had been practically eating her boyfriend's face off... And our dad walked in on them. He had completely unhooked her door, and she didnt even get a curtian.

I immediately grabbed my phone and climbed out my window. I texted my bestie, Taylor to meet me at the rocks.

"Yo! Alyssa what's up?" Taylor scrambled over the dirt dunes. She looked at me curiously, looking me up and down.

"What are you doing?"

"Checking to see if your hurt," She said and my eyes widened.

"No, No! Im physically fine!" I exclaimed and she let out the breath I didnt know she was holding.

"Wait a minute. You said physically. Why?" She dwmanded and I rolled my eyes.

"My dad has this stupid idea that if we never shut our doors there will be no secrets. I won't have any privacy!" I explained and she groaned.

"Oh dear..." She trailed off that she sat straight up. "Honey, you're always welcome at My house. You practically live there!" She smiled ans I stiffled a giggle.

"Nice vocabulary... Honey," I said with an accent, and she snorted. Which- Of course, ended up with us laughing on the ground.

When I got home that evening, all my dad did when he saw me- covered in sticks and dirt, was point to the shower. He practically shoved the clothes in my arm as he pushed me to the bathroom.

I stood under the water and watched as it fell away slightly murky. I washed my hair and when I got out I looked at the mirror. It had fogged up, and I wiped away where my face was. I sighed and got dressed, ready to face my dad.
