You see, I like to think of myself as a non-conformist. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm no protester or something but I like to be my own person and have my own thoughts of whats wrong and whats right.

During my younger years, I was taught to treat others as I want to be treated and to always tell the truth, and believe me when I say I'm thankful for my wonderful parents and their advice, but if I'm being completely honest, I wish they would've taught me how to stick up for myself and how to actually survive in the real world... Because not everything is explainable or can be justified in a way; and you can't always forgive and forget. Thats where Blake Harrison comes in.

Imagine this: naive, cute, young, tiny cheerleading freshman girl meets charming, handsome, tall, junior football player. Obviously shes swept off of her feet and helplessly falling in love. In her eyes, he could do no wrong. And that was her first mistake.

The first few months were heaven. He was sweet, caring, and that late November night he first said "I love you" in that old beat up pickup of his was the best night of her life. She said it back so fast she had to repeat herself because he didn't understand her.

Flash forward to January and things got a little rough. He was pressuring her to have sex and justifying it by saying "We love each other, this is the next step Pres". She trusted him with her life, so why couldn't she trust him with this? She couldn't justify why she didn't want to so she did it. She gave in to his pleads and on January 17th, in the bed of his pickup he "deflowered" her. Romantic, am I right ladies? (Note the sarcasm).

After that night, things changed. He became more forceful and demanding, and when he didn't get what he wanted he took it out on her. Bad. She tried justifying it. Because thats what she was taught to do. She continuously let it slide; let him hitting her slide. Roll right off her back. She desperately wished that someone would notice, and when someone didn't, she took things into her own hands. She tried breaking it off, saying things weren't working. That they'd grown apart. And thats when everything came crashing down. He lashed out at her, saying he never loved her. Saying he only wanted her for a play toy to pass time with. And she believed him. She believed every word he ever said to her and it was all a lie.

She believed him because thats what she was taught to do. Its what I was taught to do.
