Chapter 1
"Did you see that new kid?" Chloe screeched into my ear. I cringed away and put my hand up to cover it.
"Not yet. What's so exciting about him anyways? You people are so stupid. No offense." I added, seeing the hurt in her eyes. "Like. You guys will freak out about how 'hot' the new kids are, when they look like most of the other guys in this school anyways, just to forget about him later. You know what it is? New meat. A new challange. After a week he won't be new anymore, and all of you will get bored with him. He won't even know what happened. Just suddenly, he gets dropped." I sighed and slammed my locker shut.
"Well. I SWEAR this guy is different. He's got this edge to him. It's sooooo sexy. You know, because we've got all the jocks and nerds in our school but no bad boy. Well, he's definitely the bad boy. Like. You know what I mean? He seems so dangerous. I'd give anything to crash through his wall and reach that soft side they all secretly have." Chloe was known to gush, and she does it everyday. Looks like she was getting a head start today. She dropped me a little wink.
"It doesn't matter what type he is. It's always the same. Plus, you know how I feel about bad boys. You should stay away from him Chloe." My voice dripped with warning.
"But Meghan! If only you'd have seen him!" She sighed dreamily.
"Yeah, whatever. Please listen to me for once? You know I'm usually right about these things." I glanced at the clock in the hall. "Oh crap. I'm going to be late thanks to you. Text me after school, Clover." That nickname for her had derived from Saint Patty's day, which was the day she was born. Chloe was a bubbly brunette, with brown eyes and a petite figure. Really, I thought she was the cutest thing ever. Like a puppy.
I rushed to my seat just as the bell rang. Except when I got to it, there was a figure slumped in my chair. "Um.. Excuse me. This is my seat."
"Well," He paused and looked up at me. My dry attitude vanishing for a quick second. This must be the new kid. He looked like an angel cast down to Earth. A brunette with muscles that didn't stand out horribly against him. His hair fell to his shoulders in a way that suggested he just rolled out of bed, looked in the mirror, and shrugged it off. It had looked good enough to him. And boy did it look good on him. And those eyes were the prettiest shade of green I'd ever seen, framed with long eyelashes, a straight narrow nose, high cheek bones, and a squared jaw which had a bit of 5 o'clock shadow on it. I didn't know if that's really what it was called but I'd heard a cartoon call it that all the time when I was little, and it just stuck with me.
He kept a straight face as he rubbed his butt all over my seat, like it wasn't the most childest thing for a 17 year old to do, ever. "I'm kind of enjoying this seat really. But there's a seat right there, that can be all yours." That was one sexy butt..
"I don't care how much you're enjoying my seat. You can sit there," I pointed at the seat he had just told me I could use. It was right beside mine, at the same table even, so it's not like he'd have to walk very far. "And then I can have my spot back." The reason I was defending my seat like this was for one, my pride was too huge to just back down from this, and two it was the best place to sit. The teacher could never see you texting there, but you could still see everything that he's teaching.
