Spotlight on Coleng, Meng, and Lola Poleng. Coleng and Meng squeal and laugh in glee, the bag of M&Ms spilling in the bed.

Meng: OH MY GOSH MAMITA!!! I can't believe how forward you were!

Coleng: Nakakaloka! Wala nang ligaw-ligaw? Sinagot mo na kaagad? Modern woman na ang peg sa dark ages ng 70s? (eats the M&Ms spilled on the bed)

Lola Poleng: (still prim and proper) I didn't want to waste time with courtship. What for, when I've waited for him to make a move for so long? And I knew that my parents were hell-bent on taking me to the States, so our days together were numbered. I wanted to enjoy my youth, and I wanted to make as many memories with him. Oh and what happy memories they were! Every morning he'd drive me to school, but now we'd be alone in the car, since Stacy and Joana now rode with their boyfriends. Sometimes, he'd take the long way to school so we'd have more time together. Then he'd fetch me and we'd go Disco dancing with Stacy and Joana and their boyfriends. Then we'd go home together, going just a tad bit slower to extend our time together before we return to hiding our feelings for one another.

Coleng and Meng sigh dreamily, hugging each other, feeding each other M&Ms.

Lola Poleng: (wistful) Even though I had already agreed to be his girlfriend, he courted me everyday. Sneaking flowers into my room, packing chocolates in my bag that he made himself. Sometimes taking me out to picnics in our secret place with food he cooked and packed himself. And we'd spend the time talking and laughing about everything and nothing. He was the sweetest, most attentive suitor I ever had, and the fact that he kept on exerting effort just to make me smile made me love him even more. He always placed my happiness above his own.

Coleng and Meng notice the change of tone in their grandmother's voice. They move to sit on the arms of the arm chair and hug her. The bag of M&Ms forgotten on the bed.

Lola Poleng: (sighs) We were so blissfully happy then...maybe that's why I let my guard down. If I didn't force him to take me to that Disco...if only I had listened to him...if only...

Meng: (grasps Lola Poleng's hand to comfort her) What happened, Mamita?

Lola Poleng: A new disco place had just opened, and I wanted to go and see the place. We had just finished our finals and we needed to unwind so bad. It was called Disco Rock, and it was on that night that things began to change...

Their light dims. Spotlight on center stage, as Poleng, Vic, Stacy, Joana, and their boyfriends enter Disco Rock.

Stacy: This place looks so spankin!

Joana: And the dance floor is sooo wide! Sweetheart, let's dance (grabs her boyfriends' hands and follows Stacy and her boyfriend on the dance floor)

Pareho silang mag-oout of the country next week. Sige na, please?

Vic: (sigh) May magagawa pa ba ko? Diyan ka masaya eh. (opening notes of the Disco Rock play; Vic sways Poleng, sings) Sa umaga, sa gabi Kahit kailan mo gusto, sige
