Hunters POV

We had burgers. I mean, I didn't mind, but last time I had burgers with Keira, she spit it out after about half a second. Now she was chomping it down like she used to do with my mother's sloppy Joe's.  Again, not that I was complaining. I love burgers and maybe we could go out and get them someday. Maybe that'd be the day I show her the around studio. Maybe that'd be the day I equipped feelings for her. I mean, I already had feelings for her, just-

"Thirsty, Hunter?" Carrie asked like she wasn't thinking about the conversation we'd had earlier.

I declined and we sat down. Just like she always used to do, she zoned out. Staring into space.

"What's going on in that head of yours?" I said, as I always did. But she didn't remember.

And as always, she replied in a long and intense essay. This time, the topic, as it often was, was her future. What she wanted to major in, to do with her life. She said how she wasn't sure what she wanted to do because she liked so many things. That's one thing I'd always liked about her. She was amazed with the world and everything on it. I could never be like that.

"What about you, Hunter?" Carrie asked. "What's going on with your career?"

"Well I'd say my career is moving fast. Faster than ever. It feels like yestersay I was singing at small gigs around here. Now I'm recording for my album to come out next year." I said. "I'm super excited. I love everyone of the songs. One of them was even from my previous CD. But ya know, I wouldn't be anywhere without the great Man upstairs helping me along," I concluded.

"Did you write most of the songs?" Keira added.

"I wrote or co-wrote all of them."

"All from the personal experience?"

"Yeah," the room was silent again.

Bennette broke through the silence, "Keira writes songs. Did she tell you?"

"BEN!" Keira hollered.

"No. No, she didn't tell me," I looked at her. "When did that start?" Ben gave me a deathly glare. "I mean... At what age did you write your first song?" I said, trying to pretend we really had just met a few monthes ago, in that Starbucks, for the first time.

"About three years ago," She was 14. The same age as on the hiking trip.
