Prologue

He could no longer hold it in. I knew what hurt I have caused. I could feel the anger radiating off of him as the tension between us grew even more thick.

I shifted. I needed him to say something, but he wouldn't. He just stood there towering over me waiting for me to continue.I tried, but no words could escape my mouth. I was caught.

He held my eyes into a gaze that was impossible to break. He wanted me to see the sadness in his eyes. He wanted me to see that he was in more despair than he was mad, and that made me even more guilty.

I took it way to far, and for that he will never forgive me. I took another step towards him closing the space between us. The closeness made him uncomfortable.  I could tell because as soon as I did it, he tore his eyes away from mine.

"Aidan", I spoke softly. He kept his eyes trained at an object located behind me.

"Aidan, please look at me." Keeping a steady eye, he still would not look at me. I didn't know what to say. He didn't either.

The next thing he did I was not expecting. Aidan always tried to work thing out. He would never just leave.

He looked down apon me for the last time. I have never seen it before, but his left eye let one single tear trickle down the side of his cheek. He took one step back from me letting the cold engulf the sides of my body, turned around, and walked away.

I watched him until his figure became invisible to eye. He kept his back turned never looking back.

How can I be so stupid? I just lost the one thing that I truly care about. I let the only piece of stability in my life turn away from me.
