As the sun rose on that warm autumn morning the leaves fell slowly and softly onto the winding path through the forest. The scurrying animals searching for food for the soon to come harsh winter. But the soft glow of the sun doesn’t reach the cold damp dark water caves as the sea smashes against the rocks. The cold cry of the wind can pierce your very soul. Towering trees stand there watching you, ready to grab at any lonely wonderer.
Just a few miles south of this was a small village guarded by strong and trusting grandfather oaks standing proud awaiting the call to attack. As you enter the village you are greeted by the happy chatter of people passing in the street. The church bells are peeling now these bells ring only for two reasons: if someone has died and, the more joyous, if some on is getting married. On this occasion it was the wedding. The marriage of Becca Meeds and Jack Harris.
Now as I am sure you are well aware not everyone is kind and friendly even in a village like this. Mr Hyde, Mr Tavis Hyde, just one look from his ice blue eyes and you would be running to the hills he was the owner of the bank. His nose was pointed and he fitted it as he walked around turning his nose up at everyone he saw, every one that is, except for Becca he had loved her passionately and had told her just that. She had rejected him for she knew just what he was like in the manner in which he walked and talked. Soon after she meet the handsome jack Harris the most eligible bachelor in the secluded village she feel for his good looks strait away but soon found he was just as attractive personality wise. He also felt the same way and within a few months it was announced they were to be married
This was to be the biggest wedding in history money was no issue as he was the village doctor and his parents were extremely wealthy. Even though he was rich he always had a kind smile, was always happy to help and never cross. Becca’s dress was made from a material softer than silk and with diamonds places around the bottom handmade sent strait from London.
The grand day had finally arrived as people piled into the church jack stood there … waiting. Waiting to see her. Waiting for his life to begin. He was twiddling his fingers and biting his lip the preacher was saying something to him he just nodded in return.
Outside the church the wedding car was arriving Becca shakily stepped out the car she was sunning, it was as though the whole word seemed dimmer in comparison. She wasn’t used to attention she liked to be hidden not show her face but today was her day she was going to enjoy it and try to have fun. Then the music started. The wedding march. Unmistakable. Time to go. She floated down the aisle like a fairy. When she stood there next to him it was clear n other two were ever meant to be together more than these two. When the time came to give the wedding vows he smiled and said
“I have actually written my own vows...”
“Becca you are the best thing to ever happen to me … I love you more than life its self and I promises to always love you and look after you as Shakespeare once wrote…
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! It is an ever-fixing mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickles compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.”
The whole time not taking his eyes off her and never letting go of her hand. There was no dry eye in the house sniffing could be heard all round. Smiling at her and placing the ring on her finger she was wiping away tears with one hand and brushing her hand through his hair with other they stood there. Then the priest said those words. “You may now kiss the bride,” and they were married. As they kissed she wrapped her hands around his head pulled him in and they were together. Finally.
The party went on all night and, despite being shy, she actually had a lot of fun and was happy, really happy. They danced and talked until 3 in the morning then they both got in the car. They didn’t have to say anything. Both content with each other’s company.
Suddenly the car stopped and someone in a mask yanked the driver out his seat and got in and drove off. Both stunned they started screaming shouting help but it was fruitless and soon after he stopped the car again walked round to Jacks side of the car and pulled him out punched him till the blood poured down his face and left him there. Left him to die. Becca couldn’t get one word out she just sat there overwhelmed by everything expecting the same for herself as he walked round to her side he opened her door softly stroked her face she screamed and bit his hand, furious and with a flame in his eyes he walked back to the driver seat. All she could do was mumble one word.
“Why?”
After what seemed like a life time she woke up drenched in sweat due to what she hoped was a terrible nightmare. She looked around the damp chilling room she couldn’t remember coming here … what happened last night. She hoarsely tried to shout Jack’s name but all that came out was a high pitched squeak. Just as she made sense of her surrounding the kidnapper walked up she couldn’t work out his face it was covered by a black material looked like tights. “Welcome to your home for the next couple of hours at least until I make out a plan” his voice sounded somewhat familiar full with love yet it was angry and cold
“Tavis?”
“Crap!”
It was him “ why … why would you do this to me you heartless swine”
“you just don’t get it do you, I LOVE YOU ! I went to all these lengths just to make you realise I’m so much better for you.”
“You’re not him! You’ll never be him! I can’t love you” sudden pain rushed through her body and she grabbed her head screeching in agony.
“sorry you wouldn’t settle down last night had to use extreme measures” he lifted his fist showing dry blood. Guessing it was hers she looked away
