Sadness washed over Fraya slamming into her like a tidal wave. But more than sadness and perhaps stronger, was guilt. She still hadn't spoken to her mother and today was the day she was to leave forever and never return. In fact she assumed she had only hours or minutes left before she had to go.
A knock could be heard as someone rapped on the front door of their house. Sighing she got up and flattened her dress and went to open the door. But just as she opened it she saw something that made her want to slam it shut. The most hideous demon she had ever seen standing in her doorway holding a pad of paper filled with names. Among which she was certain was her own.
"Well why not?" she asked flabbergasted.
"As much as I hate the demons, at least they can keep their end of a bargain, and as it seems to me tell the truth marginally better than a human." I spat glaring.
"Are you saying you'd rather see Scarr reign forever and destroy people's lives, rather than you yourself fixing it and leading us in to a new and better age?" she asked truly perplexed.
"No, I'm saying that I won't help you with your hopeless power struggle," I gestured at her, "which is all it is. And from the experiences others have had I can say with all the confidence in the world, that those who search for power are less fit to rule than those who have it thrust upon them. Now leave if I am to have a teacher it shall not be you. And anyway I do not believe that I am half demon. Goodbye."
Frowning she left, without even a glance over her shoulder at me. No remorse in her face as she snapped the door firmly shut behind her. And as angry as I was at the fact that she had lied to me and tried to use me as a pawn, I couldn't help but feel saddend that she was walking out of my life for good this time.

I heard muffled talking but I couldn't make out what was being said. And then I heard the girl yell NO! The voices muffled after that outburst, although very soon after her outburst her mother stormed out of her room slamming the poor girls door behind her looking pretty damn irate. She didn't even pause to look back at the room were her daughter resided.
"She refuses to work with me so train her yourself." her mother spat at me jerking me from my thoughts.
Frowning slightly I nodded so she knew I had heard her. Then she spun on her heel and slammed the door behind her. Walking out of her daughters life presumably for good. And I couldn't help but wonder why her mother was so mad at her or why the girl refused her mother's training. Her powers and heritage had been hidden from her up until this point so I can see some degree of anger that could hold some sliver of credibility, but to make it so her own mother left in a storm of fury and hatred for her. I didn't understand. And I didn't know what to do next, my information on the entire matter was only that the girl was the one who was like me. The one who I had to choose or the master plan would be ruined. I had no idea of what the "master plan" was. And now I don't even know if it is still going on.
But what bugs me the most is the fact that no one bothered to tell her what she was before today. She was as ignorant as a baby, and it seems as if she squalls like one too, I thought jokingly.
Sighing I got up and walked over to her door. I stood there for a second hesitant because I didn't know if she was crying or something. Then steeling my nerves I raised my fist and knocked on the door.
