(Y/n): Tomoko put your body in this position, it'll be easier.

Tomoko let out an exasperated moan.

(Y/n): Doesn't that feel better?

(Y/n) says teasingly.

Tomoko: No, it doesn't!

I was watching Tomoko's posture while we played our game, no wonder she looked tired all the time, she was never in a comfortable position. After she slammed the door to her room, she basically attacked my backpack of games and went wild. We didn't know what to play first but eventually decided on an RPG. Tomoko was using her computer and I was using a TV she brought in that we managed to hook together for 2 player mode. Tomoko and I looked like maniacs as I hastily tapped the button on my controller and she zoomed her mouse across her desk with super human speed.

Currently we were fighting a boss monster and we were trying to defeat him in a certain amount of time to get the most valuable loot. I was mainly the attacker and defender since I was the knight and Tomoko was a cute but dark looking fairy who made sure we didn't die and supported me with buffs or magic attacks. We were doing good so far into the game up until this point. We were not prepared for such a long and hard battle and were running low on HP as well as supplies.

(Y/n): Shoot him Tomoko! Shoot him!

Tomoko: I'm trying, my magic isn't very effective.

We shouted at our screens. The boss monster had turned it's attention on me and with one swipe of his huge sword, the last inch of my HP hit zero as my character was sliced in half. The screen flashed :You are dead player 1". I stared at the screen in disbelief. Well since I was out for now, I might as well cheer for Tomoko. She might be successful and-

But I was cut off when Tomoko groaned in defeat. She had died shortly after I did. Or characters were then transported to a safe zone to where we could try defeating the boss again.

Tomoko: Crap -_-......

(Y/n): Who knew playing games with you could be so fun. We should have done this sooner.

I could see Tomoko was about to respond but suddenly her door flew open to reveal her mother who was not happy.

She looked like she was going to yell at Tomoko before her eyes landed on me and her expression seemed to calm down. I guess she saw that we were actually doing what we were suppose to. Just playing games. I loved the sense of trust she was showing me in her eyes.

Mom: I like the fact I can trust you (Y/n) but rules are rules.

(Y/n): I understand.

Mom: And Tomoko, I hope I can trust you too?

Tomoko's mom gave her a questionable look that said " Fine, you can close the door but I hope that I'm not making a mistake by trusting you to not do anything I wouldn't do."

I knew this had to do with me....I can assure Mrs. Kuroki that I wasn't going to violate her daughter but as a mother she is expected to be cautious.

I looked back and fourth between Tomoko and her mom. It seemed they got along so well that they can communicate with each other with their eyes.

Mom: Good....

Tomoko's mom said before putting her hands on her hips.

Mom: Now, the both of you can take a break from your games. I made lunch.

Lunch? I hadn't even realized how hungry I was. We had been playing for 2 hours straight. It was amazing how time flew. The facts that Tomoko and I gorged on junk food didn't help. It actually made us feel tired and lazy and actual food sounded so nice. I glanced back at Tomoko before she nodded at me and we both followed her mom into the kitchen, trudging over the many soda cans and junk food wrappers on the way out of her room. Tomoki had already taken his place at the table. Tomoko took a seat next to me as I marveled at the spectacular meal in front of me.

(Y/n): I can tell your a good cook already.

Mom: Your friend is so nice Tomoko.

She commented with a smile. We all said thank you for the food simultaneously before everyone dug in. It was a simple meal. Tomoko's om had decided to make curry, which was one of my favorite dishes. I couldn't help but feel like I was being stared at and my suspicion was right when I looked up to see Tomoko's brother Tomoki, staring at me with his piercing eyes.

(Y/n): O_O.....so....Tomoki....Tomoko hasn't really said much about you.

Tomoko: Why would I.....?

She mumbled.

(Y/n): I'm (Y/n)....incase you didn't know that already....

I said awkwardly. It occurred to me that he was a lot more social able than Tomoko and popular as well but right now he was acting cold towards me like he was unsure about what to think or say to me. I had seen his face around school but never brought him up because I could never figure out why he looked so familiar. When people talk about this awesome soccer player, I didn't know they were referring to Tomoki who was Tomoko's brother. I wonder why she never mentioned him? They seem to have their sibling rivalries but they also don't appear to completely hate each other. Lunch basically flew by quick and silent with the occasional chat I'd have with Tomoko's mom. However right after lunch I was dismayed to receive a text from my mom that it was time for me to come home.

Disappointment also struck Tomoko's face when she found out it was time for me to go. She helped me pack my things and hung her head in depression. It was my duty as a friend to cheer her up.

(Y/n): I know it was really fun hanging out with you today. In fact it was so fun that I'll be back so often that you'll probably get tired of me.

Tomoko: No I wouldn't.

For once, Tomoko actually said something without a hint of shyness behind her words. She was really warming up to me as she looked up with pleading, desperate eyes.

(Y/n): It's alright Tomoko, I'm not going to war or anything. I'll be back again before you know it. Don't look so gloomy.

I say as I lift my hands to pull back her bangs from her eyes.

(Y/n): I like you with your bangs but when I can see your whole face, you look even prettier. Let the world see your green eyes Tomoko, their to beautiful to hide.

I could see Tomoko was blushing as she tried to pull away but I wouldn't let her. I wanted her to be comfortable expressing herself. It sort of hurt to turn and leave her, knowing how much she wanted me to stay with her but regardless I had to good bye and took my leave. I didn't notice Tomoko walk to her mirror and raise a hand to her hair.
