I woke up. Today was school. I walked into my closet after waking up Deanna. I picked out a simple jeans and t-shirt. The t-shirt was to some walk for Bailey we did years ago. With Dad. I took a shower after Deanna. I straighten my hair. I then went downstairs. Bailey and Deanna were actually peacefully eating cereal. Normally, in the morning, they would be at each other's throats. They aren't morning people together.

"Hey guys." I greeted them.

"Hey. So are you going to take us both to school?" Bailey asked.

"Yeah. That's the plan."

We eat in silence. Which I was glad for. Better than the bickering. We quickly head for school.

I dropped off Bailey. She seemed happy to go back to school. Then we went to the high school.

"Do you think Lindsey will say anything about Damon?" Deanna asked.

"I don't know. I hope not. I didn't know why he did that."

"You don't? The boy is obliviously has a crush on you!" She seemed shocked I didn't know. I didn't!

"Yeah, and pigs fly."

"Well then be prepared for flying pigs. He likes you! And I think you like him too!" She squealed.

"No I think he is nice. To Bailey. I'm more preoccupied with her. He is nice to her. That's all that matters."

"Sure, you keep saying that and I might believe you."

"Ugh, you and your obsession with love."

"Ha, it's not. And you have an obsession with book and love!"

"Whatever. Let's get this over with." I walked out of the car.

We walked out. It seems that word travel fast. Everyone seemed to be staring at us. Or it was my imagination. Now I know when Lena in Beautiful Creatures says, "I just hate hiding all the time, feeling like everyone is whispering about me."

I walked out to my locker. I tried to quickly get my books for first period. Lindsey had other plans.

"Hey. Quiet girl." She called out to me.

"I have a name." I remarked back. Deanne walked over to me.

"And how much we loved to talk to you and your army of shanks, we have other plans." Deanne hooked my arm with hers and we were off.

"This is not over!" Lindsey remarked back. "You can't have everything to yourself."

"Sorry, we didn't get that part where you have everything and we aren't supposed to. Have a nice day."

"Come back here and say that stuff to my face."

"I would be, but then my eyes would burn for that lovely shade of slut you're wearing!" I remarked, Deanna starting to rub off on me.

We walked to first period, laughing. "We showed her." Deanna said, with tears almost coming out of her eyes.

"Yeah, she hopefully won't bother us for a long time."

"Hopefully."

First period was English. We easily got through that, since we were reading The Great Gatsby. Since the movie was popular, we picked this to 'encourage reading habits with the thriving film industry'. School board's words, not mine. I don't care. I love the book and the movie. Poor Gatsby.

During second period, Chemistry I, we got to do a rainbow water lab. It was to show how we can mix the right beakers and the measurements. That was easy since Deanna was my lab partner. Third period, one of my periods without Deanna, was history. That was difficult. Since Lindsey was there.
