Watching the boys breathe heavily, all sprawled out on the couch, floor, and other various places in the apartment after carrying all of my new furniture, I knew that I'd have to repay them somehow. And that somehow would be my ever-amazing cooking... since I had nothing else to offer.
I silently left the living room and began to raid my brothers fridge. Thankfully, the boys were to exhausted to ask what I was doing. That way it could still be somewhat of a surprise.. until they started smelling whatever I was going to make. Sifting through his fridge, I found hamburger meat and a whole bunch of veggies. I rolled my eyes. Cyrus was always a health freak. Soon after, I found three rolls of Pillsbury Dough stuffed in the back.
I almost screamed for joy.. I decided right then and there that I was going to make Taco Pizza.
After preheating the oven, I unrolled the dough and proceeded to flatten it. I began to cook the meat and added the taco seasoning, swiftly chopping up the vegetables periodically as the meat cooked.
I created an amazing pace, if I did say so myself.~
The boys began to trickle in one by one as they smelled the scent of the meat and taco seasoning. I was too concentrated to respond to their questions, getting a lot of pokes and "Hey, do you hear us?" in return.
After about 15 pokes and lots of "Are you going to answer us?"'s, I swiveled on my feet to face them. I pointed the spoon I'd been using to stir the meat at the group of boys. "Shut your mouths and leave me in peace or none of you will be getting any Taco Pizza!" I huffed, crossing my arms like a child.
The boys cocked their heads.
"Taco Pizza?" Jack asked, extremely skeptical.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Just trust me, okay. Now all of you go wash up! It'll be ready in 10 minutes." I said as I shoved the completed pizza into the oven for a few minutes to make the cheese on top melt.
"Yes, mother dearest!" Chase teased.
"Kay, no food for you! Bye!" I yelled, shoving past the group of hockey players clearly disregarding my intructions and heading to my room to change. I didn't want my scarf or sweater getting taco sauce on it.
Chase followed me the entire way to my room. "I'm sorry!" He said. "I didn't mean it, I promise!"
I began digging through my - new - drawers for something to wear. I quickly dug out the first pair of black shorts I saw, my batman shirt, and my batman slippers. I like Batman... Judge me. I was about to strip off the clothes I had on when I remembered Chase had followed me into my room. I turned around and glared at him. "Leave." I demanded.
He simply leaned against the doorway and smirked. "Nah, I think I'll stay here and enjoy the show."
I felt my face warm, but kept my composure. I hated guys like that. "I'm serious, Chase, leave.""Again," He let out smoothly, as if he wasn't practically waiting for a 16 year old to strip in front of him. "I don't want to." He took three small strides before he was standing directly in front of me. I could feel his body heat radiating off of him, he was so close.
I was about to open my mouth to tell him to leave once more, when another voice sounded in my room. "She said leave."
I snapped my head towards the velvetty voice that belonged to none other than Jesse Taylor. Trying to stop myself from begging him to speak again, I took a few steps back and smiled gratefully at Jesse. He returned a small smile, though his eyes held anger.
"Dude, I don't think this involves you." Chase countered smugly.
Jesse scoffed, moving towards Chase and sizing him up. "Oh, but it does, Shelton. She told you to leave and you're being a pedophile by trying to get a 16 year old to change in front of you."
"She's hot. So what."
Fury flashed through Jesse's eyes. "If you weren't my teammate, I would snap your neck like a twig." He snarled. "You're 20 fucking years old. Leave her alone. Now."
My eyes and mouth widened in shock, I was sure I looked like a deer caught in the headlights. I can't believe he's sticking up for me! Where had he come from? How did he know that I needed help? I silently sent up a prayer, thanking God for sending Jesse.
After a long pause of Chase weighing his options, he knew better than to challenge his - obviously - much larger teammate and left without a word. However, stopping at the door, he turned to give me one last, nasty, hungry look. I shuddered in disgust.
I sat on my bed and let out a sigh, holding my head in my hands. Great, now I have to deal with a creepy pedophile on my brother's team. A few seconds passed before I uncovered my face in order to thank Jesse, but he was gone.
~
Dinner was awkward, to say the least. Jesse hardly spoke at all, even when directly spoken to. Chase wouldn't stop staring at me. And Cyrus, well, he had no clue this tiny war was going on. He was almost always completely oblivious to everything.
The boys devoured the pizza, leaving me a mere 2 slices. Not that I was complaining, because that's all I really could force myself to eat. It was one of those situations where you were too nervous to eat.
I abruptly stood, carrying my plate into the kitchen and setting it in the sink. I set my hands on the counter and let out a sigh of frustration.
Drama on the first day in Boston. Awesome.

A/N:
Again, really sorry for the lack of updates. ): I'm trying my hardest to get these out there. I can only write little parts at a time. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy. I hope it doesn't completely suck because when you write in parts, it's difficult to piece it together. :/
Much love,
