prologue:
the silvery gleam of the moon is coming out of the clouds.
its pallid light spread like wildfire over the hills,
its time for me to wait again hoping he would be here ,
and maybe now,
he would come back as he promise.........
...........
we used to sit here beside this coconut tree and watch the moon rise from the clouds.
the dazzling brilliance of the moonlight triggered our hearts to soak in the beauty of the night and share the love that we destined to be forever .
it was like a ritual to see the moon glow in its own gentle way as we shared our love together.
until one dire night "do you love me?" he asked.
i look deeply into his eyes and answered, "Yes i love you More than you will ever know "
"if you really love me you'll understand" i was agitated.
my heart trembled .."Why?where are you going?i dont understand?"
"my family wants me to go to London and start a life there with them"
"im leaving tomorrow"
"but i promised to come back ,the well do everything we've planed"
my tears streaked down like moon beams onmy cheeks.
"i had no choice to let go"
"i will be back on a full moon beside here i promised"
that was the last time i saw him since then i always come back to this tree every full moon for the promise the love f my life had made i heard that he became a doctor in London but i knew nothing more.
i began waiting, looking up and starring at the moon .
i close my eyes to remember his calmly face.
and i thought a voice calling me i was entranced by the sound of his voice
and realizing that i would just miss him badly.
that ever if i continued dreaming of him ,
i opened my eyes..
to my surprise ,
i could hear him
i looked around ,,,
and there at the distance ......i saw him..
the light of the moon shone on him,
i can clearly see his face again with his steady eyes starring at me ,
i ran towards him ,,,it was not a dream after all
"At last you've come back!"
"yes my love,im here as i promised"
for the first time since he left ,i felt his embrace again
only the moon was the witness of a promise fulfilled
