Let's get it straight. You were homeless. You've lost the house ever since your mom had left your dad, and he decided to not take care of a child to his responsibility. You didn't live in a box like usual cartoons, but you did use a box. One for a cat you found in the streets, and one for the leftover food you found in the garbage of the back of the Pokémon Center. Sometimes, nurse Joy would bring back a meal for you, but never give you a room. You had fleas, and you didn't have the money to afford a room.

Now, you were peeking out of the alleyway in hopes that somebody would feel enough pity to at least offer a cracker. But no. They continued to carry on towards the bright, bustling streets. You sat in a dark, empty alley. It was a festival so lucky for you, you could go get some samples from a stand. While your gaze turned towards a stand, you noticed a boy getting two plates of a meal. He looked lonely, until he began to look around. His glance turned towards you. It was Showtime.
You gave him a sorrow filled look with your eyes, a deep frown coming to your features while you 'nervously' fiddled with your fingers, the tips black from the dirt in the alley. He began to approach you. It worked, and to say you wanted him to run instead of walk.
"Hey, where's your home, girly?" He asked. 'I don't have one. JUST GIMME THE FOOD!' You thought. "You don't have one, right? Hey. Look, I ain't a threat.." He said, "But I've got some chicken and dumplings." You were about to respond about how he was speaking to you like you were an animal, but stopped. Chicken and dumplings did sound quite delicious. Your bones shuddered and melted is what it felt like, and your gaze softened while you felt less hungry. Your thoughts changed when he placed the small, styrofoam bowel in front of you. You immediately began to eat. You felt more hungry than ever. You felt energized and stared up at him with your big, soft eyes and with crumbs of dumplings on your cheek. A light blush dusted it, while he smiled widely and giggled at your reactions. "Look, my mom can give you a place to stay until I can actually get you your own place to stay. By the way, I'm Ethan." He said, holding out his hand. "My nickname is Gold, though. You can most DEFINITELY call me that!" He giggled. You grabbed his hands with your own freezing, dirty hands. You flinched at the sudden sensation of his warmth and softness. He put another hand over yours, and began to help you up. "Your hands are cold! C'mon." He said, "When we get home you can use my bed to take a nap."

For once, your smile was real as you began to follow him. Your kitten even began to jump out of it's box, trailing along.

While walking through the festival, you glanced around, even noticing people eyeing you. You felt ashamed. "Don't be afraid! Its fine!" Gold said again. "Thanks, but is it okay if I bring my cat with?" You spoke with a soft, calming voice. You weren't loud. From the loss of company from your parents, you only had a cat to talk to. With a calming voice as yours, it brought along animals to immediately soften up to you. You were a nature magnet.

"Yeah. I like cats! What did you name 'em?" He asked, staring at the kitten. "I didn't. I just call him Kitty." You responded. "Oooooh. Okay."
The festival was now far behind as you continued to walk down the sidewalk. The sunlight bathed you before he stopped towards a house, windmills surrounding its figure. "Here!~" He said. You nodded, before he ran towards the door and knocked.
The door opened, and a motherly figure responded. And boy, were you right about her being Gold's mom.
Your life begins here, with a hidden potential and a secret this boy that found you was hiding. What will YOU do about it? The chances of accepting and declining is in your hands.
