"You know...", Sans began, in a gruff voice, "I still don't understand why you've chosen me.". You looked over at the skeleton opposite you on the couch. "I mean, look at me... I'm not the most attractive of guys, nor the nicest. I'm not exactly 'prince charming', you get me?".

You understood perfectly. You knew that Sans didn't have a high self esteem, due to his brother (you guessed), and seeing him like you once were made you interested in him. It made you want to comfort him, to nurture him, to make him feel happy, because you knew how he felt. You knew how he cried himself to sleep, because you were there to comfort him. You knew how he always put himself down, because that's how Papyrus influenced him, and how Papyrus treated him. (and you've had a front row seat to that...). You knew how much he seemed to dislike himself, how he said he wasn't perfect. To you, all of those negative things didn't put you off of him one bit. You understood him because you've went through a similar situation to his, and all you wanted to do was look after him. You wanted him to see his good qualities...

"Sans... When I first met you, I was instantly attracted to you. I saw my past self in you, and I understand what it's like for you. My feelings for you grew ever since then, and when we first kissed I swear I saw stars. It was amazing, to get the chance to know you more. I know you don't see many good qualities in yourself, so...". You reached into your favourite bag, and pulled out a large, crimson book. "I wanted to show you your good qualities!", you smiled.

Sans stared at you for a moment, and his gaze slowly lowered to the book you were holding. He held out his hands hesitantly, and you handed the book over to him. Gulping, he opened the book to the first page...

"Our first date, it seems like yesterday to me! It's hard to believe it's been 10 years already! I remember that you brought me white lilies, knowing they were my favourite flowers. The first good quality about you is how thoughtful you are!"

Sans blushed a light pink, smiling softly at the selfie of you two underneath the message, with you both holding a lily each. He turned to the next page...

"Remember when we went out on a double date with Undyne and Alphys, and you cracked a joke? Remember how I was sipping at my drink at the time, and I laughed so hard it burst out of my nose? The second good quality about you is how hilarious you are!"

And funnily enough, a snapshot of you having lemonade spurt out of your nose  was underneath your message. You and Sans chuckled fondly at the photo, and you urged him to turn to the next page.

So many good qualities were listed to the skeleton as he turned the pages, causing his face to turn a dark shade of red. "Kind!", "Sweet!", "Loving!", "Caring!", "Cute!", "Quirky!" . You snuggled into him, and he put his arm around you.

"Sans," you mumbled, "I know that you don't see yourself as perfect because of your imperfections, but because of those imperfections, I find you even more perfect than you are with only your good traits. I know how hard it is to believe in yourself, so I don't expect you to do that right away, since I know it'll take time. However, I want to help you believe in yourself, because I love you more than words could ever comprehend, and I swear on my life that I will always be here for you, no matter what happens. I love you Sans.".

Suddenly, you felt something wet fall on your cheek, and when you glanced up, you saw Sans with tears streaming down his face.

"Sans? Are you okay?" You asked, worried that you said something wrong. He shook his head.
"No, no... I just... I'm just so happy... I never thought I'd find someone like you... It's so amazing... I'm so god damn lucky..." Sans sobbed, holding you tightly to his chest. You smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I love you Sans..." You whispered.

"I love you too, Y/N, and I always will. Thank you so much..." Sans whispered back, clutching you so close... You never wanted the moment to end.
