"I-it's amazing..." You stuttered. You stared at the wings, they were white with light blue inners, and the scales were perfectly aligned, no scars whatsoever. "Now don't fall in love with them just yet, as they are fake and used for training purposes only." Charred spoke, "And before you ask, your training will start today."
"What about Shade's training?" You asked the battle-scarred reptile. "Shade's training will start when you are able to train him."

"Okay!" You said, overwhelmed with excitement. "So, when I'm done training I can go outside?"
"When you are done with the basics."
He sounded serious, but you knew he wasn't trying to be. "So, why do you have a secret room in the library if you have a whole lot of rooms with locks?" You asked him, hoping he wouldn't get mad. "I have that room because the rooms with locks would be too obvious. If another dragon came along and wanted to fight, I need to protect that sword somehow." You were surprised at how calm he remained, as last time you took a real risky question he lashed out at you and Shade.

"Also... Do you have anything to eat? It's been awhile since I've eaten and-" he cut you
off, "Come this way, there is a kitchen full of human food. I stole it from a rich village. I never understood human food very well, so I took it to study it. You may eat it if you would like."
"T-thank you." You replied to him.
"No need to thank me, I'm just keeping you alive." He remarked before leading you to a fairly large room, the kitchen you figured. After all, this was a human castle before he took it over. "Wow..." You said. "Heh... I'm guessing you know how to use those... Things." He said, referring to the knives, forks and other kitchenware. "Don't worry, I know how. I-I would have to make dinner for me and my... sister." You choked on your words, remembering your sister. She was all you had... And you lost her. "Should've saved her..." You mumbled to yourself.
"What was that?" Charred asked you, seeing that you had tears in your eyes. "I-it's nothing, I just... uhhhh... A bug flew in my eye." You lied.
"If you say so..." He said, obviously not buying it, "If you need me, I will be in the training room."
"Alright, do you want me to make anything for you? I haven't seen you eat in awhile either." You asked him concerned.
"Dragons are much more resistant, we can go more than a month without food. Don't worry, I ate a couple weeks ago." He reassured you. You shrugged, then got to work. You found many apples, berries, bread and nuts. You decided to use the apples, berries and nuts to make a fruit salad. When you were done, you made a plate for yourself and two other plates. When you finished eating, you put a plate on the floor. "Shade! Here boy!" You called. You heard paw steps dashing out of the the hallway and trot to the kitchen. "What is it?" He panted.
"Food." You replied, pointing to the dish on the floor. He was hesitant, but walked up to it and started eating a little bit. He spit it out immediately, "What was that?!" He exclaimed.
"It was the only food I could find. Sorry there was no meat, I'll ask Charred if he can get you some meat." You said, feeling bad for the hungry dog. "Okay..." He sighed before running off again.

--Time Skip to Tomorrow--

You woke in your bed, wondering how you got there. You must've fell asleep in the kitchen, and someone put you in your bed. Then excitement surged through you, you remembered you had training today! "I can't wait!" You said confidently. Today was going to be the beginning of your freedom...
