Love is a double-edged sword
It can open your heart and tear it apart
It can set you free or keep you in a cage
Many have tried to wield the sword for their own reasons
Whether it be to win the hearts of many or win the heart of one
Whether it be for unity or ecstasy
All kinds of life want it, desire for it
Some succeed in the conquest
While others fall to the blade
Escaping its swing with nothing but sorrow and scars
A few never even try to conquer love for either fear of losing or the will to live without having love.
But nevertheless, love hurts
And only those who are strong, yet smart enough, can truly wield love and succeed.
